cohen didn’t just plead guilty. he snitched and trump caught all those strays. cohen’s lawyer is going around claiming his client has more knowledge that would be of interest to mueller and he’s ready to sing. cohen isn’t the only snitch. apparently, david pecker, publisher of the national enquirer and another one of trump’s boys not only corroborated cohen’s account. he’s been granted immunity in exchange for information about his involvement in paying hush money to various thotties on behalf of trump during the 2016 campaign. also, trump and his lawyers still don’t have a detailed account of what white House counsel don mcgahn told mueller’s team during 30 hours of testimony.
funny thing about that NDA. trump never signed it, but more importantly daniels lawyer can ask the court to lift the stay now that the cohen has pled guilty. which means if it goes to trial her lawyer can potentially drag trump in for a deposition like bill clinton and demand all kinds of documentation during the discovery phase.

The action with Stormy Daniels was against NY law. I don’t think anybody cares.
Paying someone to conceal a crime is against the law. This causes problems with the probably unenforceable NDA that was signed.
Having Cohen pay for it and then reimbursing Cohen was probably against campaign finance law.
Diverting the money from campaign funds would also be a crime. Trump’s notoriously stingy approach to spending money may bite him in the ass.
Clinton getting a blowjob is awesome (in the abstract). Clinton lying about it to investigators - the much mentioned perjury trap - was the problem.
Note that Trump has not spoken to the Mueller team. All possible evidence indicates that Trump would lie willfully and often in that interview, so he’d tack on perjury to his list of problems.
The deliberate and willful perversion of justice in pursuit of winning an election is what I think strongly differentiates this from any previous instance people want to bring up. Comparing this to the Obama situation seems laughable. The Edwards case is more relevant, and I don’t think you have the out that Edwards has given that Daniels and Cohen are currently healthy.
