I don’t get how after EVERYTHING that has happened since Kaep took the knee…Drew is still implying that taking a knee disrespects the US flag and soldiers.
It was never about that. It was to bring awareness to the Injustice that black citizens face from the powers that be.

Some folk buy into hype from those around them and don’t actually listen to the other side or what they are saying. The idea that ‘The Flag’ should be adored over injustices or lives actually runs contrary to the ideals of this country.
Granted that is partially intentional as the founding fathers were not the unified force of do-gooders we often see preached as but just going off the ideals there is no reason to view kneeling, laying down or whatever during an anthem at a fucking game as disrespect.
Not too long ago wearing a face mask during a pandemic was considered unpatriotic and freedom limiting…

Brees is gonna have fun walking back into that locker room and its racial diversity. Or living in New Orleans in general for that matter.
If Drew Brees actually connected with the New Orleans community, he should have known all how authorities treated minorities during and after Hurricane Katrina. Not to mention all the human rights violations that occurred in New Orleans in relation to the destruction and response to Hurricane Katrina.

I think the good part of Brees disgusting response is the backlash he is getting especially from his own teammates. Though Jenkins taking down his video isn’t what I want to see. Drew deserves being told to shut the fuck up here. Drew should not apologize either because he was honest and has the right to his opinion but he deserves all the shit he gets from this.

Honestly, unless Brees goes an absurd extra mile in apologies and actually learning his time in New Orleans is done. His entire offense hates him right now, and Jenkins commands any defense he becomes a part of.
