Drew Brees is one of the most accurate quarterbacks in the NFL but he missed the point on why players like Kaepernick kneeled as a form of a silent and peaceful protest. Brees went straight to the national anthem when asked about players kneeling again when the NFL season starts.

Drew Brees issued an apology sayin he fucked up. Prolly too late on the Saints front tho, they’re not gonna protect him out on that field anymore, his best bet to ask for a trade or something
He will be a Saint and for the purpose of winning a Super Bowl they will let it go on the field but they lost all real respect for him for sure and they should and the team should note vote him captain and send the message that he clearly isn’t a leader of the team
But hey I would love for him to be sent packing from NO obviously.
I don’t see the Saints gettin rid of Brees due to his skill level, but I could definitely see the black players on defense not protecting him when he has the ball. And I’d imagine other teams would put a bounty on him too, Dude might get injured the first game

Speaking of the Saints, whatever happened with them being connected to a pedophile list? I remember hearing about it early this year, but I haven’t heard much since.

Literally took them an international-sized peaceful protest demonstration, with rioting and looting here and there, for them to come around to admit they were wrong. They already caused enough fracturing of the black leaders throughout the NFL and NFLPA. The platitudes and mea culpa isn’t enough.

The test is this year… When the players do this and it will be many that do will they let them and ignore the outside voices like Trumps when he is relentless about it especially in October going into early November? or can they ignore the resurrections of the white guys saying they wont watch the NFL this year now like they have been today…
I said above they needed to apologize and they did… They admitted the wrong against Kaep… But now they have to put action into place and show with actions they care… Ill give them a fair chance to do so… Hopefully they do the right thing…
