Alternative Energy Technology and Is China Communist or not? Feat Trolls & Idiots

At the same depths as you drill for oil the Earth is naturally extremely deep under ground hot. You don’t need to find surface hot springs.
You don’t even need to drill as deep as some oil drill operations. You just need that temperature differential and a heat pump to bring that heat to the surface to boil some water to turn a turbine.
Actually almost all power plants including nuclear power plants boil some water to turn a turbine to turn a generator to produce power.
Some Solar power plants even use the suns rays to heat water to a boil to turn a turbine.

Only time you don’t need to boil water is with solar voltaic cells (as they directly convert solar energy to electricity), Hydroelectric and Wind.

Those stupid choice designs that still went thru buildings that do reflected sun rays to solar flare shit

ARE AMAZING THOUGH

pretty much yeah

( Nobody has that Thailand Buddha statue as a gif?! )

Oil has an immediate return on investment, power plants dont. Thats tge difference.

Yep, exactly. They take the same amount of effort. Meanwhile fossil fuels pay off a lot more up front, geothermal energy needs time. I don’t see where we’re disagreeing.

EDIT: Didn’t see your other post.

Yes it gets hot, and that’s where you get your energy, correct. What we’re pointing out is that for the same amount of effort to dig down where it’s hot, you can drill oil out and burn that, which can be hotter (a lot hotter in fact! Multiple components in oil have high energy density per unit volume). It’s a bad strategy long-term, but that’s simply why we aren’t using geothermal power; not everyone in charge thinks long-term.

But the Earth going to be hot inside long after humans ether go extinct or we involve into something else. Oil is finite. There only estimated to be maybe 50 more years of oil left ore or less.

if its true (and i think it is, personally) that we have a very limited number of years left with oil, then i think we can expect a dramatic decrease in human population.

most people cant even grow a potato. which is kinda sad. without industrialism, most people simply don’t have the ability to live.

Yep don’t worry, we know that. It’s a bad strategy long-term. But not everyone in charge thinks long-term. The question was why we’re not using geothermal, the answer is simple: oil companies simply get a lot more out of drilling oil than focusing on geothermal.

Are you seriously saying something like if it’s true?

Did you not have a basic calculus class when you were in high school or any basic volume mathematics questions in junior high school or even as early as elementary school if you went to a decent school?

How can you expect an object with finite matter to have an object that is a subset be of infinite matter…

nothing i said implied we had infinite resources, it had more to do with the idea that we are closer to running out than most people think.

cool pic tho.

Thank you.

Referring to current-day China as Capitalist may be the dumbest thing I’ve read this year…and I regularly get posts from Occupy Democrats on my Facebook feed.

china is about about as capitalist as it gets. its just you’ve heard the ppl on the television say they’re Communist and you don’t like thinking the tv can be wrong

China is still Governmentally Communist country, they are Communist with a Capitalist Economy.
There are Capitalist opportunities in China, but the market is not Free and those who are wealthy capitalist with in China are so with the blessing of it’s Communist core (as contradictory as it sounds).

Most (if not all) of the free enterprise activities take place in special economic zones, basically Capitalist activities are allowed with special permissions from the government in designated areas only.
The Four special Economic Zones are located on the coast to allow for easier trade with international trade partners.

China is still Communist as the state employs whats called State capitalism, there is limited form of economic “freedom” allowed which increases efficiency while still allowing them to maintain political control and power.
True Communist economies are inefficient which lead to the collapse of the Soviet Union and it’s reform into the Russian Federation. Also China had their own industrial and agricultural short falls in the 50’s and 60’s.
While if you google China you get one of the many cities in the 4 Economic Zones, very modern, very high tech cities; the majority of China is rather very rural and very backwater with simple farming violates that haven’t changed in centuries.

none of that made any sense. Sorry. A communist country is a contradiction in terms.

How bout do some actual reading sometimes, it do wonders for you.
Look up State capitalism, it explains the economic system in China.

If this is still too hard for you to grasp, then I am sorry for your inability to grasp economic and political concepts.
Not everything is Black and White, there alot of shades of grey out there.

I agree that china is state capitalist.

China has literally never been communist. They have no elements of communism either. Communism is a stateless classless society

That isn’t communism, and a truly stateless, classless society never have existed. Not even 10 thousand years ago when humanity is purely composed of nomadic hunter/gatherers.
Some one has to take on the role leadership, a Chief, Shaman or Elder of some sort leadership.

What you confusing for Communism only exist on paper, and is a theoretical model proposed by Karl Marx.
The same model is the only way “True Democracy” can only exist.

Only real way that can exist, is on the very small scale. Like a Tiny farming community where the entire population can fit into a single building for “town” meetings.

the retardation is too strong with that post.

“ultimate goal is the establishment of the communist society, which is a socioeconomic order structured upon the common ownership of the means of production and the absence of social classes, money,[3][4] and the state.[5][6]”

he couldn’t even check wikipedia. its like the first paragraph dude.

Wikipedia isn’t a reliable source of info

check the sources. Wikipedia isnt even the only place to tell you about this.

if you’re going to engage in conversation about these things is it really so hard to educate yourself before hand? Its not too much to ask.

I have, I read actual books on the topic and I have a relative who minored in college in concepts of Marxism.
I have family who was actual socialists, I also got briefings on what communism is while I was in the military, actual academic stuff, not the propaganda people get in the public.
I don’t need someone who half quote a bad Wiki article to tell me what Communism is.
