However I hardly see any balrogs, I main Bison and get so many giefs and ryus because of my bison icon.
If all you’re going to do with Guile is SB and FK, then yeah, you’re gonna be bored… on top of that you will lose every single round.
Ryu/Ken is the most common when I played online. Only ever encountered Sagat in the final matches. Yay.
I see a lot of Ryu, Sagat, Blanka, Balrog and Bison players. Rarely do I see any Ken players though. This is on G2 of PSN.
If you’re angry that ryu, ken, and the usual suspects are popular, just wait for marvel.

I get sagats constantly I actually view Ryu/Ken as a rare thing
And yes Guile is quite boring if all you do is those 2 moves I tried him for a while and he was pretty fun

I couldnt stand people watching me use someone like Sagat even if you win you dont get any bragging rights cause wooptie doo you won with the god tier and showed you have no actual skill

sagat is simply not that much better than everyone else.
Spoken like a true ignoramus… Sagat is actually one of the harder characters to use, let alone master. 1 frame links, slow speed etc etc really make him one you have to stick with if you want to get any kind of result. As good as he is, Sagat can be extremely predictable, which is why you don’t see him winning EVERY tournament he’s in.
By your rationale, people like Mago should be ashamed they use Sagat because they have ‘no skill’ as you put it. LMFAO. What a stupid, stupid comment.

Yes, Sagat is a powerful character. Yes, he can be intimidating to play against. No, picking Sagat is not a fucking instant win. If the person you’re playing doesn’t know how to use him well they’re going down hard - unless, of course, you consistently lose to scrub Sagats, which says more about you than the character.
I have actually been bouncing between a few people trying to pick a main over the last few days training with some friends it is difficult due to the fact in all fighting games that I play i tend to restrict myself from any characters in mid or higher tiers I prefer to challange myself using lower tier characters
And no I do not consider Sagat an instant win I just feel personally that winning with him isnt impressive you have every possible tool you need to win I find people who manage to win with characters such as rufus or gen far more impressive
Although yes with my friends I do drift towards Akuma but thats just cause as I have stated before I enjoy doing the demon against people when they consider it difficult to pull off but thats mainly just to show my friends it isnt a move worth ignoring when all it takes is some time and training to become good with it
I was thinking of maining Abel a few days ago but I find he is like a disobedient child half the time he does what you want but when it really counts he decides to do something completly different and also I am having a hard time picking a main because I do not wish to use the same main as any of my friends I am however investing a lot of time as of late into El Fuerte because I find win lose or draw I always have fun with him and afterall thats what a game is about is having fun and not just spamming range attacks to get a win nomatter how cheap you have to be
Oh yeah and no i do not think high level pros should be ashamed nomatter what character they use they are amazingly skilled and could use any character they want
I just have a deep hatred for sagat due to the overwhelming number of players I see using him who have zero skill at this game whatsoever and they seem to pull wins out with sagat

Thats down to YOUR shortcomings… NOT the character. If you can’t beat someone with ‘zero skill’ then what does say about your skill level

I dont lose to scrub Sagats I just watch a lot of the videos in the leaderboards and always have to laugh at the amount of scrub Sagats I watch win

This is how my day looks like online(in this order). When somebody picks ryu they always, and i mean always, take like 5 minutes to pick ryu, and then when they don’t, they play this game where they take a ride around the character select screen (silly joke intentional) and then pick ryu, just to get your hopes up that it’s another character. I’ve never seen a ryu just pick his character right off the bat.

yeah, i think i’ve only seen like only 1/5th of the roster through championship mode. Anytime i see another character i’m shocked.
My favourite is when I beat 12 shotos in a row and then get my ass handed to me by some random Gen because I don’t know how to handle him
