CGI effects in the new trailer do not look good. Damn CGI effects fucking up animation all across the globe. Gosh darn it like I said before, if you can’t make the CGI look as good as good as Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex don’t use them darn contraptions!
That trailer looks absolutely terrible. At least the first SFA movie looked the part. What makes it worse is I’m probably gonna watch it anyway. I’m such a fanboy!

I thought the action in the trailer looked pretty good and I really want to see how it turns out but, I also dislike the new animation style. By far the animation of Alpha looks superior as does II The Animated Movie imo. I really hope they don’t screw up Ryu Vs. Akuma, I’m also looking forward to Ryu Vs. Sakura which we saw a snippet of.

This Japanese girl I work with who is really not associated with SF in any way but is a huge Anime fanatic saw both of SF2 the Animated Movie and the SFZ Anime which I lent her. She found the SF2 Animated Movie boring, wound up fast forwarding through it because it was all about fighting. When she saw the SFZ Movie she found that a lot more interesting because it had more of a story. So, I dunno, normal anime folk have different perspectives on these things. We all want it to look and be in a certain way and the story to be in a certain way as fans and the fights to be a certain way, non fans don’t really I think.

Ken doesnt fight, im not even sure why he is in the trailer… First of all the movie is only a hour long or so… Ken is only in it for 5 mins… MAYBE… Id say 3 is more like it… here are kens scenes…
about half way through the movie they show ken driving in his car talking about how he has to get to ryu…
With 15 mins left or so in the movie, ken gets out of his car, then old man says you cant interfear with the akuma ryu fight, and sits on ken. SITS ON HIM. KEN DOES NOT FIGHT. Old mans sits on ken. Old man apperently ways a ton, so ken cant get him off of him.
Then in the last min of the movie, the old man says thats enough, ive lived a long life, then dies. Then ken runs to get to ryu. Last you see of ken.

The animation flows well shame about the actual designs, and as i thought this is’nt really a movie more like a one on one fight between ryu and akuma.
Why is sakura even in their I dunno, what a total waste of a great licence.
Too bad those udon dudes dont do anime movies.

Its an AWFUL AWFUL movie!!! I thought it would be really good cause of “THE BIG FIGHT” ryu vs akuma. I just wish they could just but a little bit more money into the lisence and some more damn time. This movie just sucks. Alpha and SF2 animated movie were both 10… no 40 times better than this. It feels like the whole movie takes place in one scene which makes it feel INCREDIBLY short. Just when you think the good part is about to start IT ENDS. The dialog just sounds stupid and so do the characters. It just doesn’t sound like ryu would. I hate to ruin your hopes of gettting this movie, because I too had high hopes, but Its just not even worth a free rental.
