Alpha Generations is a month away - Any Info?

“No. I’ve come to deliver…THIS.”

Old man: “What do you want to do, Ryu?”

Audience member: “FOUKA!!”

Gold

lol, nice read. Was there anything good/positive about the movie?

I can imagine it being crap (its mandatory for all SF Movies/animes to be crap - excluding SF2: The Animated Movie).

That is fucking ridiculous. Now we can expect capcom to come out and say 'yeah, that’s a pretty acurate portrayal of our characters, actually." like they did with the other shitty alpha movie.

I mean, it really REEEEALLY woudlnt be that fucking hard to make a half acurate and half decent sf movie with JUST sf characters (is there not enough of them or something?) wtf…

lol, Hey Tragik. I didn’t know you were a member of SRK :stuck_out_tongue: Deadman66 really traumatized you

I think the most accurate SF or half decent SF movie is still that SF2:The Animated Movie…

I’ve been a member of SRK (under different handles) since 02’ actually. And Deadman’s a troll.

No offense but I’d really rather judge for myself. Doesn’t sound too good though. Oh well, it’ll keep the SF collection going. The Fan Sub might be floating around and I can get that for free, I’ll have to go through my old Fan Sub channels is all.

Overall I hate dubs, IMHO about a good 80% of them are crappy and I never watch them if I don’t have to, I’ll watch the sub instead.

man, that is all really disheartening to read

shifts expectations downwards

There, that should make things better

Wait good lord this movie is worse than alpha 1? how can that even happen lol.
How do they mess up a cool story thats already done for them, i guess i should of know.
I hope KOF does not follow in its foot steps
I guess thats the end for SF animes.

Yes, I am a troll, an evil troll.

Doesn’t change the fact that I am right.

And officially this movie sucked even more than the original Alpha.

Somehow… deep deep deep down beyond the anus of the SF producers… I doubt it.

I dunno, making a good SF Anime is pretty darn simple. Adopt and Animate Masahiko Nakahira’s Ryu Final Manga, get Gisabaru Sugii(Director) Shuko Murase(Character Designer, but you can keep Masahiko Nakahira’s designs) and Shinichi Tohkairin(Action director who handled the fight scenes) from the SF2 Animated Movie and call it a day. And Japan… please throw away all of your computers if you can’t make the CGI look as good as Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex or Hell your standard episode of Inu Yasha / One Piece don’t bother (and this goes triple for that POS new Fist of the North Star Anime’s special effects, lord, I’ve seen better CGI on the Dreamcast…) I would say Animate his SF Zero Manga but that’s enough of Zero… and maybe after this story that’s enough of Gouki as the new one can focus on Gill. Still, I’m sure Masahiko Nakahira can write something instead of these Animes borrowing his stuff. Ryu and Ken fighting on the beach in the first SFZ Anime - taken from his SFZ Manga. Rose visiting Ryu’s mine in Chun-Li’s office in the SFZ Anime - taken from his SFZ Manga. Younger Gouki holding bloody beads in this new SFZ Anime - taken from his Ryu Final Manga. Stop borrowing, start adopting. I don’t agree with everything in his mangas like Sakura being God Tier (defeating KOF’s Kyo? Shyeah right) but the man knows his SF, afterall the man invented Satsui No Hadou Ryu and Karin for christ’s sake.

But I’ll hold off anything negative about the new Anime until I see it for myself.

I’m not trying to be offense or piss you off or anything but this thing sounds worse then the Art of Fighting anime.

Yes it’ll your keep your SF collection going, so would buying the US animated series which actually might be of higher quality worth more then this.

Really the problem is Manga is a US company that saw what they perceived was a lot of interest in telling this story. That’s something I can applaud.

The problem is they selected the worst possible fit for the animation and most godawful way of telling the story. The specifics of how and when they arrived at this decision are as yet unknown.

But I would again suggest buying the US series particulary the volumes with “Second to None” and the Final Fight episodes over buying this piece of crap. There is no sense in throwing away money here.

PS. I’m not going to get in depth on the Sub vs. Dub debate, I personally am a big dub fan for the most part because I think that’s the best way to view anime and because I believe that nothing is as overrated as Japanse voice acting.

And yet you just did.

You know, i bet some dumb guy somewhere thinks watching Bruce Willis speak in french is better than in english. Hes still a dumb, dumb guy, though.

Seriously! How is watching JAPANESE animation better in ENGLISH?

Dubs are for nine year olds or younger. You get to the point you can keep up with them, its time to grow the hell up. Youre past that age, you can read the subs in a split second. You dont even have to take your eyes from the action.

Not only 90% of american voice-acting is crap, but its also not the original cast chosen by the original director!

Want american voices, watch an american cartoon, made in the US, directed by an american director! Go watch Spawn, Teen Titans, the american SF cartoon or whatever crap they have on tv.

That’s the point that I’ve always had in mind when reading these sub vs. dub debates. The fact is that the Japanese voices are the way the work was originally meant to be; the voice actors worked directly with the directors and staff that made the movie/show itself. If you’d rather listen to a dub simply because you’re more comfortable with hearing the dialogue in your own language than reading it, that’s fine… but you do have to realize that the original voice work is the real deal.

As for this new anime… cripes, this doesn’t sound good. I certainly hope it isn’t as bad as everyone’s making it out to be.

Personally, I’m wondering why they didn’t just go with a SF3-based anime. They already did an Alpha one, and this new one seems to be nothing more than beating the Ryu/Gouki thing into the ground. Of course, they -could- have done something better with the Alpha setting, but SF3 would give them more to work with and hopefully keep from falling into another dull shoto-rama. And seeing Makoto kick ass in anime form would always be a plus. :stuck_out_tongue:

the character artwork looked so shitty imo…

Yet another new addition to the list of god-awful ‘anime-based off of fighting games’.

So let me get this straight…there is no Chun-Li in this movie!?

That thing looks like shit!

OMG did he say ‘sex’ instead of 'hibachi chicken hentai ecchi?"
That is so childish
must get the way bettur japenis voices cuz tehy r s0 kewlzors n help my cosplay better.

i’m at a 9 year old level cause i think voiceacting is RARELY anything to write home about in either japanese or english so i dont give a fuck? GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE with that garbage. 90% of anime already comes with both english and japanese dialog (or wait, you guys dont buy anything w/ english dubs even if it has origianl voices too right?) So why you people are still arguing about which Goku and which shinji enhanced your fanboyish ways better is quite frankly beyond me.

Oh, and you’re not 1337 for watching subs.
