I always like watching replays especially when the replay quality is so good and the file sizes so small.
I have a good middlekick vs heat replay, but i’d better get permission before i post it.
Does anyone have any fba, mame, kawaks matches recorded that they wouldn’t mind sharing?
In fact any replays of any game can be good, i like seeing people beat final fight with one live etc. think i’m trying to say i enjoy watching games played how they’re meant to be played with style. watching someone kick ass on tempest even.
maybe i should become the founding father or the skill appreciation replay society or s.a.r.s.
Damn… it is good. But where can you play these games without lag? I can’t find anyone to play here in Silicon Valley, and when I do find a game I lag like hell.

Here is the way I play Gen or at least try to. BTW, I tend to play almost the same way against people in the arcade, except I am a LOT more worry against V-ISM, fakes, and Sakura since I am not use to see that kind of stuff against the computer. If I am in Golfland in Milpitas or San Jose, you cannot miss me: I am one of the rare guy who still play a lot SFA3 as a happy jumping Gen.
Cheats used:
difficulty expert mode
damage low
time slow
speed level 2
survival mode set ON
shortcut used for PPP and KKK
autofire for LP, LK, MP
This is my first ever recorded game.
I use autofire to avoid destroying my keyboard. BTW, I dont use anymore MP in autofire, but it really did mess-up a few of my combos in this game.
Final note: I am not used to play Ryu, because he is kind of a far in the survival mode.

That was good. I don’t see much gen , so those setups for the airthrow super were all new to me. ryu has one of the better AI’s, whiff one move and bam !! lvl3 super
he does a weird pattern though someting like
hopkick, jab shoryuken , jump backwards fk . I don’t know exactly what it is, but it’s easy to punish
the setup you did on X-adon is that flippable ?

Me and my friend were playing online and I picked v-sodom (just joking around ) and I threw him and it did almost no damage then later in the match it did normal throw damage is this normal ? . It was sodom vs rose
I was playing ryu activated vc and I moved forward quickly. Is this a kattobi cancel ? hopkick kattobi ???
ryu vs rolento cpu I can’t remeber exactly what happened. But at one point in the match I couldn’t hit rolento anymore I would just go through him like cody dodge. REALLY WEIRD
anyway I still have the save state but I don’t know if it will work on other emu’s so I will also make a replay.
as for the invincibility. thats an old, known bug in a3 which does suck. if the opponent air blocks more than 2 moves in the same jump and continue to block even when landing(still blocking), you will become invincibile. its something like that. someone correct me if im wrong. its been a long while. but its something like that. and its not character specific
Yes it is flippable, but I doubt any character in X-mode can avoid it…
Against human opponents, I tend to replace that move by an air grab, Reverse Waterfall (=uppercut kick) or a move that require some timing: c.HK (KKK style)

I am trying to make a better recorded game: A few tricks I use a lot somehow were not in this one.
Sabre, still having problems? it was recorded at 11.8 mhz. Apologies over the 15mhz replays, they were from when i was over in france earlier this year.
The PC in france seemed to be lagging ever so slightly so we tweaked the system clock to make it more arcadey. i didn’t realise there was a problem until people said replays lose sync.
Sometimes it’s best to change cpu to 11.8, save settings to ini now, then relaunch kawaks.

As for the Gen set-up they have 1 frame of invincibilty that they can use to escape, good luck. Counter VC can save you in that case but you’re talking x-ism.
These record files sure are small, if there was a tourney held the whole event could be recorded to a 3 meg replay file :lol:

Oh BTW theres a really good M.Bison player at our arcade, he’s been using Bison since Champion Edition and his play style is so different to everyone elses, he sometimes goes for ground pressure pokes, but most of the time hes flying all around the screen with headstomps and fake stomps into dives and fakestomps into crossups and just going nuts confusing people, and it works everytime. People will just think they can start their poking game on the ground and then he’ll be flying around getting counterhit dives and crossups and airthrows. It gave me a new respect for him though, anyone here use him?
i use a-bison some. and a little v-bison. a-bison is hella underrated. hes really good. he can runaway like no other character can in this game. teleport is too good. his s.forward is god priority, as well as his straight up j.forward(pretty much the same attack as s.forward). c.strong, and all of his headstomp moves have ridiculous priority as usual. and then you got his psycho crusher super of course. no need to explain that one…DIRTY!
input replays are nice for file sizes and quality. problem is, you cant rewind, fast forward and stuff like that. and of course you got the desync issue which can really suck.
subliminal: why cant i select 11.8? i can select 11.7(which still caused the desync), then the next number i could drag it to was 12.1. is there a way to more accurately pick the freqs?
sabre yeah dude, left and right arrows move it in 0.1 mhz increments. sorry for messing up your kawaks. and please if apoc visits record that on emu ^^
when i was in france earlier this year i got to play this good bison player. He made me ditch Cody and get X-ryu out. I have the replay if ya interested.
I’d go so far as to say bison is the exception to the ‘no jump’ rule, he can get away with it for free.
this kawaks replay is first to 10 wins, i lose first 3 so i need comeback. And yeah its recorded at 15mhz cause its a france replay it’s a bit of a x vs. v war, enjoy if ya like seeing me fight. comments are cool.

That’s it… nothing against you Sublimal UK, but this French guy is my hero!! After seeing his Blanka, I started cheering for him. This guy even forced you to stop using V-ISM after the first half. Wuahaha… I love this guy!! He didn’t use V-ISM at all. His blanka and Bison are really the shit. Wish I could play him… Ohhhh… I think I found my main three characters in SFA3: Gen A-ISM, Adon X-ISM, and Bison A-ISM… just took a few years too late
Oh well at least I know what type of character I like: Quick characters with a lot of air moves… since my characters spend most of their lifetime in the air

That Blanka reminds me so much of expert Blanka players in ST.
You have a pretty good V-Charlie, and that Bison withhis airthrow almost made me think it was the cpu! :eek:
This replay shows that V-ism may be the best ism, but you have to be damn good with your V-Character to make it as dominant as people claim.
Not that I can talk, since I started using arcade sticks for the first time a few months ago, I can only do fairly simple VC’s, I remember when I was using V-Adon with the PSX controller, ah those were the days…
