Slightly OT post on Brubaker’s favorite TV show Veronica Mars that got cancelled.
You guys know about the campaign to save the show right? People were sending Mars candy bars to the CW/WB station. :wow:
Anyway, this blurb appeared in this week’s Comic Shop News:
“Could the cancelled CW series Veronica Mars be returning as a comic book? Series creator Rob Thomas has revealed that he’s talking with DC about doing Season Four as a comic book original series (if it’s good enough for Buffy and Star Trek, then it’s plenty good for the cute teen detective!).”
HELL YES I would pick that up in a heartbeat. Hmm, comic books becoming the place for canceled TV shows to go? Where’s my Black Donnellys comic already? :smokin:

CRIMINAAAAAL!!!11 was amazing this week, as usual. This comic is just worth the cover price. Hardly any advertisements, and the few it does have are all pushed to the back of the comic, as it should be. I love how the cover painting takes up the front and back cover.
Daredevil, too, was an incredibly sexual literary experience. If only more DCs and Marvels could be half as good as a single issue of DD.
I haven’t yet read the new Iron Fist. I hang my head in shame.

I picked up Criminal this week.
It ruined every other book for me and I didn’t even need to read the earlier issues of the arc to enjoy it.
CRIMINAAAAAAL!!!11 was, as ol’ Tracy Lawless might say, “AWESOME.” I did notice a couple of grammatical typos, though. Like there was this one caption that used “it’s” instead of “its”. Hopefully they fix that in the TPB. This is one of the only things I’m willing to buy twice. I really enjoy how dense the monthly read is. It’s packed with story, and then there’s the letters page/editorial, and finally the guest writer essay. It actually feels like a comic that’s worth paying 3 bucks.
And DD #100 is going to be pretty amazing. But I must preaching to the choir here. AMEN
I read criminal late last night ya it was beautiful yet again, Tracy’s the criminal version of Jack Bauer we need him permantly on this book!!! I loved the reaction his buddy had on the last page, priceless.
Also loved that superfly splash page at the end Phillips did.:tup:

Does anyone really care if the person who passes around the collection plate in church worships Satan on the downlow so long as he does what he’s supposed to do? I say no. I suppose if you toss in the little boy bending over in front of all the priests to get that basket of money attached to a pole deep into the crowd a lot of his sins will be forgiven.
