Any blocked dash punch is punishable on block. EX is safe on block so dont try to punish it. You can jump out of post dash punch mixup if you expect grab but do not overdo it as they can punish you if you do this every time.
F.RH into super is amazing, you need to learn this. Between c.shortx2 hit confirm into super and that, you can essentially lock makoto down. You can go for a DP after dash punch combo to mixup, but chances are you are taking a big risk if you dont truly know whats coming.
Aside from that, I kinda need more specific information on what youre having trouble with, what kind of level you’re at playing dudley, and if you have any match vids I could REALLY tell you whats going wrong.
I was just wondering about this…because I don’t really use any of these (and I’ve been on 3rd for A WHILE), but what option selects do you guys use? The only time I really tend to option select with her is parry-throw, and maybe parry-karakusa post-hayate.
The only effective one I know of (though still don’t use) is down-parry~circle from up to hcb + 2 kicks = grab if you parry ex tsurugi if you don’t.
Also, replying to a page back, Urien’s headbutts won’t hit a neutral Makoto which leads to free karakusa.
I don’t use the karakusa-tsurugi one either; what if I just wanted to grab (if they’re not doing anything and not jumping)? Then you factor in the time it takes to leave the ground, opponent’s jump back rh or whatever, etc.
The main reason that I don’t really use them is that if I’m risking a parry, many times I’m going to karakusa (biggest base reward) and you have to recognize situations and tendencies sometimes before fully committing. Parrying Ken or Chun cr.mk for example, or something quick and cancelable where they wouldn’t be in range for a lk karakusa but they would for a mk karakusa, etc etc.
I just feel like it’s too much to commit to ahead of time when all this other shit is happening. Almost like it’s unnecessarily and maybe even ineffectively complicating what should be simpler situations.
I suggest you please put some of this stuff in the wiki.
