All About Makoto / Read this first

You can ex fukiage x2 anyone.

Do you know if this works for shinkuu’s as well?

probably but ya gotta be lucky i saw a video of a makoto doing kara-sa1 threw a ryu’s sa1

Yup. If you do the Hp//Ex Fukiage in the right time, you can dodge the Shinkuu, but it’s too hard to do… so, if you timed well, Hp//Ex Fukiage can hit even s. Rk of Ken and s. Hp of Chun whitout get hit. So, if you’re playing whit S.A.III, you can xx into Tanden Reki and chain Hp Hayate x 2… but like i said: It’s too hard to get the dodge against the Rk or Hp (or Shinkuu)… I try often get the “dodge” whit Lp//Mp, but i never get it… the only, both get hits in the best scenario.

mk tsurugi links with fierce in the corner >.> but you gotta do it deep just something random i learned just now in the brawl hall

links anywhere, starts off easy 100% stun when you’re cornered as well(well, landing the axe kick notwithstanding…its easy:sweat:

i also noticed that OCCASIONALY you can link fierce into SA2 while ryu (i use ryu to fight in the brawl hall) is all the way across the screen if your at max poking range with the fierce does that work on everyone i imagine it wouldn’t work on ken on the grounds that he recovers like superman. but i just try to find random things that would/could help the makoto group even though most of this stuff has probably already been said.

mack-wtf??? fp never links into saII period… it has to cancel it leaves you at a frame disadvantage on hit…

sorry correction CANCELS into, you knew what i meant though!

Can anyone tell me how many frames have the Dash (F F) of Makoto ?? i think is about 4 frames… but i dunno if have more o minus frames…

Anyone have some Makoto specific tips for playing JWong’s Chun, I’ll need all the help I can get .

Assuming he will use Chun:
SA1?
Does he like to EX spinning bird kick on wakeup?
Should I go high, low, or grab the majority of the time? From vids it seems like I should go with high and grab, but he does jump a ton.
Should I play it safer by not using as many hayates when he has supers? Thats a free super on block right?

Any help would be appreciated.

Disconnect his pad or throw sand into his eyes…  .

Lmao, it’s worth a shot. Perhaps something more subtle though…like snipping his cord or poison?

um… If you poison him and the C.S.I. Team is on the case… you’re lost.  . Try to hire a sniper and tell in the Wong’s ear: If i lose my fight you lost your life… or, if you can live the same day over and over again like Detective Brett Hopper… try remember his moves.

Dang no love? Last day to answer my question, anyone? Make it brief if you want.

the thing i do against chuns is generally get some tsurugi combo’s going stay out of poking range of her low foward then magically karakusa and win. anyway good luck!

if they’re parrying low just hit em with a s.mp, s.lk, lp hayate. thats a good combo, does some damage and will make them hesitate to parry low. also if thats what they are expecting (low poke strings) on the wake up just hit em with the kara-krakusa or kara lk ex oroshi to keep them guessing another wake up mix up. and finally what i usually do if they are on to my low game i just dash in with a grab or s.hp or s.mp into a hayate. they key to a succesful makoto is to be as unpredictable as possible. makoto is a mindgame player keep them guessing and usually you should come out on top

Hey pretty new to the game (only started 3 or so weeks ago). I have only done 100% stun once in training :(. I’m using a d-pad at the moment and have a stick on order and it should be here soon, and I’m hoping it will make the process a little bit easier. My question is how do you connect EX Hayate to another Hayate when they bounce off the wall in a corner? I always manage to karakusa FP EX Hayate in a corner than the best I ever manage to do is a MK reset. I like the extra dmg with the knockdown most of the time rather than the reset and was curious if any of you had any tips for connecting this. Like when to actually execute the following hayate and what strength of Hayate I should use O.o .

Well, if your using the ps2 version to test this, than your probably testing this in training mode correct?

You must understand this first if your in training mode, after every karakusa --> FP --> EX hayate in the corner…after you reset the opponent or they stand up, you must force them nearer the center of the screen once again. Repeat steps.
So basically I mean, never start the combo when the opponent is touching the edge of the screen. For some strange reason you cant reset or hit the character if you start the combo at the corner, perhaps its a training mode specific glitch.

Second, you must know which characters you can actually connect a second hayate on:

Akuma, Chun Li, Elena, Ibuki, Makoto, Oro, Q, and Remy.
----For these characters use jab hayate

Alex, Hugo, and Urien
----For these characters use strong hayate

No hayate’s will work on the rest of the characters.
I always practice it on Makoto or Chun Li.

And last, how to execute the move. Well I don’t know if I can explain this very well. To me, it feels like I am inputting the hayate a bit later than you think you should/could. You dont have to input it immediately after the EX hayate, that is as good as I can explain this lol.

Hope that helps.

What’s a good gameplan after resetting your opponent after an EX Hayate? I always go dumb after resetting in the corner.
