SMDH, I like alien/aliens/sci-fi etc because these things go outside religion don’t after everything we’ve seen in the past try to sale me that Christ was a Engineer.
IDK It just comes off like c’mon…oh really? Prometheus opens up tons of holes and questions anyway no need to throw that on top of it lol.
Personally I like it when science becomes intertwined with religion, none of this who is right and who was wrong. Religion provides meaning, but science provides a means to knowledge/understanding of our existence beyond faith alone.
My thing is…they already dug into religion with this movie and its general premiss. They didn’t try and even majorly change anything…In the film, they are in short ‘God’ already - so the idea of Jesus or some other prophet being an Engineer works. It also explains why they showed up through out history up until a certain point., it also adds credence to ‘why’. so I actually aprrove of that angle, I’d go so far as to say - in the film’s universe - that Jesus was an engineer born of a human… - lining up with historical mythos…
[details=Spoiler]if you’re asking if that’s the first xeno, then no. the mural in the temple has a xeno in Jesus Christ pose with a queen behind it. that implies the Engineers know about dem aliums.
the popular theory right now is that Engineers don’t birth to regular xenos. so the xeno in Prometheus doesn’t look different because it’s not as evolved- it looks different because it’s a queen.
my theory is that the temple was a queen hatchery and all those eggs were queens

That is what I paid and is not bad. Really though, you are just paying for Alien/Aliens/making of features because the other two films are wack. Well, except for that one scene in Resurrection with the Ripley abominations.
Alien 3: Assembly Cut is a really good film. People hate it because Hicks and Newt die at the beginning and it’s not an action film like Aliens. I’d recommend the Assembly cut (The theatrical cut is okay, but not as good) and expect one hell of a nihilistic sci fi horror film by David Fincher.
Also: Pick up the Blu set. There’s tons of exclusive extras on there like never before seen deleted scenes in Aliens.
It’s the black liquid, I think it just depends on what gets mixed in with the gene pool and whatever comes out of that interacts with. Still makes me wonder about the derelict in the original alien…were all the eggs laid by what burst out of the Space Jockey? Or were the eggs being delivered and there was outbreak on the ship? There’s that blue light field covering the eggs, and Ridley suggests it’s like a stasis type of containment.
Anybody watch the Prometheus documentary, the creature section? Apparently they cut a bit where the Deacon alien bursts out of the Engineer, displays it’s human teeth…then chews through it’s own umbilical cord:rofl:
They honestly could have explained Milburn’s lack of fear by having a throw away line anywhere in the movie saying how tough the space suits actually were. They mention the facebowl was supposed to be tough enough to deflect a bullet in the design documentary…they could have instantly made the snake more dangerous cuz the audience would have expected the suits to be pretty formidable, especially going into a unknown, potentially hostile alien environment. “shrug”
They could have done a few different things with Charlize…like having some Prometheus debris clip her leg off or something, or even adding a sun flare over the ship when she looks back the last time. It’s still rough though, and undercuts an incredible visual sequence otherwise.
Part of me is still on the fence about whether Vickers was actually human or not…
