That’s cuz he’s never looked at the gaming fandom.
Gamers have more rights to be pissed IMO
I payed £40 for MW3 and I’ve played about 20 days worth and bought DLC, I have every right to complain

Gonna be watching Blade Runner tonight
Lindeloff flatout says that this is an alternate take on the Alien origins that will setup a spinoff series. What am I leaving out here?
That you’re* extremely* dense.
He means it will set up a series for itself, instead of everything that happens leading directly into Alien.
I’m not going to watch all the clips but do any of these address the numerous plot holes and unexplained answers or is it the usual Q&A bs?
Isn’t that the definition of spinoff? I’m dense lol people who can enjoy this movie are pretty dense…
I’ve only had time to watch the first two vids with Ridley Scott, no it doesn’t address the plot holes, but it’s an interesting interview. He goes into his thought process, even hints at certain things that may have not been so obvious during the film. He also talks about the similar backlash with Blade Runner.
Sir Ridley said there are going to be 3 movies before the story links up to Alien. It’s only a spinoff/stand alone series because it’s no longer about Xenomorphs, it’s going to be solely about the Engineers and exploring the creation of mankind.
Honestly I hesitantly like Blade Runner. As a film buff I fucking love the visuals in that film and the opening is really well done. But my problem with it is Harrison Ford. He’s a good actor but as the films’ hero he’s kinda’ weak and too easily gets beaten down. I’m not saying a hero can’t have flaws but when he consistently gets his ass handed to him and survives just by dumb luck it doesn’t really make me identify with him. It just makes me question why the droids can’t seem to kill this guy who obviously doesn’t stand much of a chance.
The first droid he kills (I think it was the stripper, I haven’t seen Bladerunner in a while) kicks his ass and had him down, could’ve killed him right there, but decides to run away, and he manages to gun her down. 2nd droid (the mustache guy from the beginning) ambushes him, about to kill him, then Sean Young picked up his gun and saves him. The Daryl Hannah droid is about to kill him with her acrobatic shit, he lucks out and shoots her. The Rutger Hauer droid (BTW, I think he’s one of the best things in the film and gives an amazing performance) basically toys with him the entire time and could’ve killed him at any point and it was pure luck that Ford survived.
Keep in mind that I watched the ultimate cut without the narration and I did like the film, but the weak hero takes me out of it.
3 more bruv?! Man, that’ll be what, 2026 before its all said and done?
Well, I’m certainly glad a 74 year old director who’s always doing projects has decided to make an open-ended film to set up a trilogy… What could go wrong?
Only good thing to come out of this: The sequels have better writers attached and someone like Christopher Nolan or Darren Aronofsky gets involved.
I’ll probably still like it nonetheless, cause I like the source material and even the new stuff too.
I wouldn’t mind the next one being either like Alien or like Aliens. Either action all the way, or suspense.
did you watch the directors cut on cable last night?
those are the same kind of SJ, they reveal in this film that SJ have bio-organic spacesuits that can be removed, the one in Alien was a pilot that got killed without exiting his suit.
this is an indirect prequel, its within the same universe, and is before the events of Alien.
It isn’t in a fucking alternate reality, who told you that BS?
Seriously, a alternate reality spin-off? Really?
incredibly unlikely that it would be those two.
I said like Nolan or Aronofsky. Someone with a vision.
Also don’t forget Cameron did Aliens and David Fincher did Alien 3.
I bought the Director’s Final Cut DVD
I didn’t have a problem with Ford’s character, I had an issue with the 3 droids though. I can’t remember what the dancer was so I’ll give that one a pass. The moustache droid was meant to be insanely strong but did not demonstrate any of that. The last female was meant to be an assassin but again displayed none of those skills, she was more a circus acrobat.
Haur is brilliant, couldn’t fault his performance nor why he toyed with Ford. Ridley used a cat and mouse analogy to illustrate how the droids have been treated by the humans. Nowhere to run or hide, hunted and killed and then on top of that they have a 4 year life. All they wanted to do was live freely. Haur wounds Ford by breaking his fingers (leaving his trigger finger). There was no point killing him because his friends and love were dead, he understood that Ford’s character was doing his job, just like he was doing when he was sent to war to kill. He probably thought if he could get one blade runner to believe in their struggle he may be able to save another droid somewhere (which he does). In the end he was more humane than Ford.
I doubt Ford was a droid, but I reckon the other blade runner with the cane is definitely a droid. He knowa about Rachael but he’ll let them be for the time being (he is the cat and Ford is the mouse).
I’m seeing parallel’s between Blade Runner and Prometheus.
Civil war between droids and human could be similar to that of the Engineers and humans (or as it may turn out with the Engineer’s makers). Again driving force for characters is to cheat death. Confrontation leads both sides seeing how similar they are to each other, this will probably also happen in Prometheus 2.
lol hope not. It’s a trilogy so there will be 2 more movies
