things i find interesting about alex is his c.fierce . i was thinking that am i the only weird player that mixes and whiffs with c.fierce ?
tell me how opponent counter c.fierce ? the 2nd hit cannot attack a crouching opponent , so they can do crouch normals and then specials .
i some times whiff c.fierce on opponent’s wake up , and proceed with a stampede or boomerang when they try to throw . some times i do a standing throw when the opponent does nothing . if you have the skill , low parry after that ?
i do meaty c.fierce on wake ups to . it works on people who does wake up throw often .
but again , all this doesn’t work perfectly on ken & akuma .
Arkayne-PM me or message me on AIM if you get the chance. My video idea has gone from STUNGUN BULLSHIT to RANDOM SHIT FEATURING STUNGUN to ALEX:OVERALLS OF RAGE ft. STUNGUN.
I’d like to make it as comprehensive as possible… Kinda.
As for cr.fierce on a downed opponent-
Cr.fierce is good cross up to use on occasion. Just note that not all characters can be crossed up. The the larger characters like Hugo or Q can’t be crossed up with cr. fierce but I think there’s one or two exceptions on few “smaller” characters.
I agree. SA1 and 3 may be crappy but they are the “believers” supers. If you put your mind to it you can get them to work. Kinda like the whole backstory to Captain Planet or some random movie about black people at church. YA GOTTA BALEEV!!!
The thing about c.fierce is that it’s a complete baiting move. You ever see Alex players whiff c.fierce and then low parry or stomp right after? Same concept but with super…and it’s just as risky, anyway.
Supers should only be used in a combo or after hit confirming. What you are speaking of is no different from random wake supers. Which is why I said it’s a waste of meter. Imo, 50/50 is not enough to win.
As for the stomp, it’s risky but it’s a better option than losing a full meter. The stomp will only hit when the opponent does not have the option to block. Crossing up with the stomp isn’t a good tactic at all. All you have to do is tap back as the stomp is about to hit and you will either block or parry depending on whether the stomp crosses up or not.
