Sigh, it’s not the lack of a trailer (Although people aren’t happy about it).
It’s the fact that over 70,000 people were trolled last night and people are pretty salty.
Every morning I wake up and open palm slam a DVD into the slot. Its my SF3 Kuroda compilation and right then and there I start doing the moves alongside the best character, Alex. I do every move and I do every move hard. Makin wooshing sounds when I flash chop some Makoto scrub or even when I whiff a DDT. Not many can say they have traveled the world and defeated its most powerful warriors. I can say it and I say it out loud everyday to people at Capcom Unity and all they do is prove that people in Capcom Unity can still be immature jerks. And Ive learned all the combos and set ups and Ive learned how to make myself and my unpowered PS4 less lonely by practicing them all. 2 hours including parry practice every morning. Then I lift.

Capcom could have just tweeted that there would be nothing at final round about Alex and to tune in to NCR, or just said “Tune into NCR” and not mentioned FR at ALL and it would have been fine. But instead they end up with thousands of people at major CPT tourney chanting “ALEX! ALEX! ALEX!” after grand finals and subsequently whatever Capcom doof is running the stream trolls them, and the 70,000 people watching live. It’s ridiculous.
What Capcom should have done was had SOMETHING at FR, an announcement, a screenshot, an audio clip, whatever, or at the very least disarmed the situation in advance by announcing the NCR trailer reveal before LR concluded, but instead they fumbled their PR hard.
Waiting for Alex info is not the end of the world (although it has largely sapped my desire to play this game until he shows up, he’s the character I wanted from the start) but watching Capcom further blunder an already garbage PR situation is disheartening. They don’t need to dig their hole any further down.
Bold is essentially me. I have no desire to play this game until Alex comes out. There is nothing for me to do and the horror stories about the game’s problems right now are giving me no reason to go back. Alex (and Guile if he comes out next) are the only things that are even entertaining the idea that I’ll come back to this game at all before the cinematic story drops.

LOL how can you sit there and say that like this character is going to be the 2nd coming of christ. He’s not out yet, if he’s the only reason why you shelled out 60 bucks for this game I can’t even take you seriously. Just out of curiosity… what are these horror stories you speak of? Rage quitting? That’s still going to happen when the all mighty Alex comes out. You must be one of those guys that want an arcade mode to sit though because you don’t play online.
First of all calm the fuck down. Second, I didn’t say Alex is the second coming, so fuck knows where you’ve got that from. I like Alex but I still enjoy the game. I played the fuck out of it when it came out but I’m bored of it at the moment. I’m not a big online player so even if online was stable (it’s not) I can’t really enjoy it. Other game modes are pretty much non-exsistant so I hope you forgive me for getting a little bored of Survival after playing it for the 20th time. Will I get back into the game when Alex comes out? Yes. Do I regret my purchase? No. Maybe you should understand that not everyone plays a game for the same reasons you do before being so ignorant and hostile.
As for the horror stories, there’s plenty. Rage quitters are a problem but I don’t play online so they don’t bother me. CFN is a fucking mess right now. People are getting put back down to rank 0 on their player level, people are being signed into other people’s accounts and have full access to their prefernces and fight money. If you don’t think that’s bad enough of a problem for me to call it a horror story then I can’t take you seriously either. And no, I can live without arcade mode.
EDIT: I also should clarify that challenges and trials are other reasons why I’d come back to SFV, not just the characters. I should have made that clear in my previous post.

Calm your tits bhaldsim. Most players spend 95% or more of their time in a particular fighting game playing a single character. SFV is a top notch fighting game in my book, but it’s pretty hard to get your head in the game playing some other character when the character you actually want to be playing is right around the corner.
If snake can play Zangief even though he’s crap, and that’s what he enjoys in SFV, then old Alex mains can hold out for their character when he’s what excites them most about the game.

None of the above has happened to me. The worst thing that happened was getting booted off the the server every now and then which is probably only 2-3 times. The funny part about the account thing is that you can’t purchase anything at the moment and even when you can it’s not like you can take EpicJoes69’s money and buy costumes and characters for your own account. I’m not sure why you think I am ignorant you’re the one trashing this game because your precious Alex isn’t out. On top of that you’re telling third hand stories that has never occurred during your own ventures with the game.
To be fair, this thread was in a pretty good place a few pages ago.
At this point though people are just salty and some are posting just to antagonise. (At least that’s how it seems)

Even though though those problems haven’t happened to you don’t try and knock them aside as if they’re not applicable. My player rank was knocked down to 0 so that’s not a ‘third-hand story’. These problems exsist and Capcom deserve to be criticised for not adressing them. While logging into other people’s CFN isn’t a problem, if the problem still exsists when the shop is open then all hell is going to break loose. I’m sorry if you don’t agree with me, but if you don’t think the state of the game right is worth trashing then I’m done having this argument. While yes I was salty like everyone one else was in the stream I’m pretty calm now since NCR is just around the corner lets just hope he shows up there. Maybe this is Ono’s Revenge for the Laura leak ( since lets be real here, we all thought it was Blanka at first) even though it wasn’t a US publication that leaked it. There was that Ehubs article back when Alex was first spotted in the background of the NYC stage and Ono said he knows how much we want Alex so it’s not like they’re oblivious. Just gotta wait boys.
