its apparently a fan myth going around. i honestly kind of like how it would explain so many things about his costume if they went that direction. yeah suspenders causing scarring is a bit strange, but when you consider this series and especially the fact he loves doing suplexes in them it makes sense to a degree.

It’s kinda of a dumb one though. There is just no way a pair of suspenders would leave such a deep red scars years later. It’s most likely he either paints them on like he does face, or he went to a tattoo shop and had em done. It’s more logical.
I’m indifferent to it, personally. His new suspenders are dope, though.

Love the redesign, its basically alex referencing himself. The suspenders as a call back to the war paint, tied shirt to reference how he had his suspenders hanging. It also feels like he realistically ages. A lot of characters dont feel like they get naturally older, but this really feels like a younger alex. Hopefully his alts are his classic and his bomber jacket.
Yeah, the suspenders causing his scars is just a theory. It’s not likely, but video games can make up weird shit just because. It could and most likely be war paint. The only other weird theory next is someone cut into his shoulders, which gives him the scars and it cuts off his suspenders into hanging.
I actually like how he looks with the shirt on rather than the shirt tied around his waist with suspenders showing, but I doubt they’d make such a small change into a costume.
Anyone else believes this thread is a little lonely without Alexisdabomb around?
Anyway, I didn’t see bishonen Alex coming, but not that it bothers me. Being younger and consistent with 3S is a good detail. The gameplay is still in the air, though.

Artist interpretation I suppose, You can draw a character with an ugly mean mug all the time or something more “handsome-ish” if you wanna call it that. But I don’t think you’d want to represent the next generation with some ugly ass mother fucker anyway.
Well considering how dead this thread is I guess i’ll start pointing out desperate shit;
If his background model is indeed the model they’re sprucing up and using for him, then he’ll be quite big. At the distance he’s at, he’s already the same height as most characters.
God I hope not. They should just straight up put in the 2nd Impact version of Jazzy NYC, that way there would be at least one good song in this game.
Nothing about him is bishonen though. The face is what largely determines that and we can barely see that at all in the official artwork.
Even the fanart, although he looks hot as hell isnt bishonen.
