Calling it now, Power Bomb will become Power Backdrop during crush counter state. Kinda doubt they’ll keep the backturn effect on Flash Chop, but it’d be fucking sick if they did.
Looking at the crazy nice detail in his boots, and comparing it to the extremely low detail and crap drawn on blurriness of Nash’s boots - I can only assume there’s a lot of upgrading on character models still planned. Because that’s way more inconsistent than some of the contrast in quality between stages and such.
I was just about to edit that into my post too. The quality is almost too upgraded from everything we’ve seen previously. I wonder if capcom is pulling a yolo the final build actually looks way better, or the more likely scenario…that that’s just a pre-rendered CG scene.
Mika’s boots look pretty good in the game too. Probably just an inconsistency due to them rushing to release the game and such. Pretty used it from KI any way.
Well, those pants and boots match his model when he’s in the City in Chaos stage, so I guess that’s gonna be the general default look. I’m hoping for an alt costume that’s a throwback to SF3, but would they put in a costume that’s technically from the future?
I assume they’ll just be upgrading things like that overtime and send it out with regular patch updates, hopefully. I doubt they can fix all the crazy inconsistencies by launch, it makes more sense they’ll do it periodically. Please let them do the same for stages, I mean, I love the the ratio of stages per character is already much higher than in SF4, but I don’t want quantity over quality in all departments. I am excited about 1 char/month if that’s true though. They just need to continue upgrading all the visual presentation aspects, because everything screams ‘rush job’ so far. Other stages need interactions too, it’s weird to have only 1 stage with 2 interactions, and no other stage has any. Other than that, the game is fun and I rather V-Skills over FAs anyday.
