Word, I should try Gief. I was mostly getting down on Laura since I felt like her normals and command grab sort of echoed Alex. Messed around with Mika too, basically anyone with command grabs.
Played some 3s today for the first time in a long time. …demoralizing lol but I had fun, played alex exclusively.

I love Alex’s hidden super when you do Hyperbomb on a backwards facing opponent. So rare to see it in a real match.

Really wonder what his alt costumes will look like… even his normal one. Anyone think that he’ll just look like a better rendered version of his NPC model? Also, does anyone know if DLC characters will have 3 costumes like everyone else? Default/Story/Premium being the three. I don’t remember reading if they’ll even get story routes, but I haven’t been keeping up in-depth.
I really hope Alex is an Abel type of character and not slow and heavy like gief.
3s Alex is one of my favorite characters ever, his mixup game was just too fun and honest. I really hope they can recreate that.

My main is set in stone with Charlie ahem…Nash…but Alex being first out the gate for DLC is a twist. I really thought Balrog and Guile would get March/May release (well we don’t know who’s next for DLC but any who) for being World Warriors in time for the full story patch in June.
But this is exciting for SFIII fans being the first and only character from that series thus far in the game. It also leads the question of the DLC list being released in chronological order as the picture shown. If Guile is the next DLC, it looks like Balrog, Ibuki, Juri, and Urien in correct order.
And I’ll add to that, that I hope he’s way differenciated from mika/necalli/laura. With so many grapplers out there I’m hoping they keep things fresh.
Well he’s not really a grappler and neither is necalli.
Having a command grab doesn’t mean the character is a grappler. Has to kinda be a main threat to mean something.
