As for TVs, ABD insists on using CRT setups. It may not look pretty, but we’ll have consistent gameplay.
How many power bars do you guys need? I can probably borrow a couple from work prior to the tourney. Just need a reminder before hand.

What are you guys planning on doing for the finals? After what seeing what Greg did for Calgary for the finals… it would be nice to have something so everybody can see the match without having to crowd around too much.

We will be using the A-cho format, where in each tournament match teams of two players play each other in a playoff style to determine the winner.
* Each team is made up of two players
* A team cannot have two of the same character
* Players must stick with their characters throughout the tournament
* In a match, player 1 from Team A plays player 1 from Team B. Then player 2 from Team A plays player 2 from Team B. If one team wins both games, the match is over. If players from different teams win, then the winners of each of the previous two games play, and the winner of that game wins the match.
Basically best of 1 match with 2/3 rounds

Ok, I have a question for you guys, I am all to aware of the input lag on HDTVs issue (I actually bought my home TV with this knowledge in mind), now seeing as my CRT at home is a MONSTER and weighs like, a gagillion pounds, I would like to avoid having to bring that beast to the tourney.
After doing some research, it would appear that using a HD PC monitor with the 360 VGA plugs eliminates the input lag in its entirety (for realz), now, Im going to do some shopping around (I wouldent mind a new PC monitor anyways), I think I can get the VGA plugs for the 360 for like, $40, and I might be able to find a 20" or maaaaaaybe a 22" wide screen monitor for around $200, now im willing to do this in time for the tourney, as long as no one has any massive LCD complaints with this specific set up. (HDR is optimized for WS play, same for BB, 3S somehow works in WS (Wierd, I know), and im not sure how whack MvC 2 WS is…)
This would then ease up on the TV requirements for the tourney, and that can only be a good thing right?
i’ve actually never played HDR. I’m sure i’d be able to figure it out fast enough. I’d be happy to play some come march 6-7.
oh boy are you in for a pleasant suprise… Vega is top tier in HDR/ST, one of the best Vegas ever in fact, guys a monster. (SF4 Vega is a pale shadow of what ye Vegas of old were.)
