I guess the purpose of the post was more of a happy vibe towards the success of BC’s scene, nothing towards being cocky so again i apologize if thats the way it rubbed off on you. As for Marion and Jae, i know they are both excellent players, and marion informed me that Jae wasn’t used to the stick transition from Korea to CHQ, hence i was able to knock off a few matches, but i openly said he was good enough and that eventually once he gets used to the sticks he’d beat me… which he did.
That aside, if you still think that i’m being cocky, i’ll apologize yet again. PM me if you want to MM me at the next tournament, although i’ve never really MM’ed anyone before, so yea try to keep the amount relatively low, thx.
Steve: Yeah man, finals were intense as fuck! Really enjoyed those games, and can’t wait for later today! Great tourney so far.
Brian: Dude, you might not recall anything, but others do. I’ll take you up on that MM, but I don’t really care for how much. 20 bucks is as high as I usually go anyways.
Hobbema takes 5 out of the top 6 spots. GJ tokes for cracking top 3. biggest upset was probably devon over Casanova. crazy finals also, lazy coming from losers to take it 3-1 and 3-2 to take down his first tournament after FOUR consecutive 2nd place finishes.

Me and shane went 2-2 in SF4 singles. came close to pulling off an upset against jones in the losers bracket. f*ck this game. but its fun in tournament setting.
I have no idea what happened in the other games’ finals as we left early each day. no marvel on sunday sucked.
Yeah, sorry bout no Mahvel hype, but when I broke that out on Saturday, it was just Steve, Moe, and I think one other guy who were actually into it, I asked around for HDR 3 times, most people who were interested was 5, MVC had like no one interested on Sunday (I was yelling “Marvel sign ups” and all I got were some cold blank stares…), and Blaz, sigh, I had 3 guys who were interested (sorry guys, I TRIED, no one was down for it, lame), and THATS it, I even dropped the buy in to $5 for anything and no one wanted in, I put Blaz into the 360 on Sunday, and the 4-7 people who were around the setup all bailed, I put it back to HDR cause that was the only game that had constant players (if only but a few).
On that note, GGs to all the guys who brought back the old school in HDR, Moe (beastly), Naveed (Epic Vega matches), Ryan, the two guys whos names I forget (you know who you are, Great Rog, and my other partner in crime who was at HDR pretty much every chance he got, GGS), and everyone else who popped into some HDR action through out the weekend.
Mad props on the guys who got CVS2 going, I saw some of that shit, was buck, good job.

Great showings from Hall_Monitor who despite how it seems in previous posts is really a nice guy who has theee best rollcancel execution i have ever witnessed.
Also much respect for my friend Bobacha who did remarkably well given his low tier dedication and total exhaustion. I know greg said those nice things about me, but I am quite sure you are the best in the local scene.
It was comforting to know that not everyone has forgot about the classics, and that there are a lot of great games that don’t have FADC
Its always nice to meet the honourable and talented players from Hobema, and to take a run at them with an old rival (Dean-klock) was a lot of fun. I really wish I could have seen the resurrected d4zz13r for myself.
Who knows if i will be back next year (I am supposed to have retired already :lol:). I really enjoyed seeing the old faces, and feeling the excitement of a great match, and those are the parts about the fighting game scene that I cherish most.
You shoulda talked to shiro and asked who all the marvel players were and pointed them out for you. I had no idea marvel was taking any signups at all. Me and shane woulda signed up for sure. Jones woulda joined in for sure also.
I went upstairs and yelled for Marvel, I walked up and down both sides on the main floor calling for the MVC signups, nuttin. But still, my bad, I am quite new to the local scene so I certainly don’t know many people, but, even with you and everyone you just mentioned, that is just 4 players (I didnt see Moe out on Sun). And at just 4 players, you might as well just do a money match on the side, is there a point in a 4 player bracket? (That is pretty much why I didnt do HDR or Blaz, not enough players, you gotta have at least 8…)
Sigh, I tried, I really did, the only person trying to get me to actually run the sides was Shiro, and every time he pointed me in someones direction, said person was NOT DOWN for a MVC/HDR/Blaz tourney. I am at a loss for what I should have done, like I said, the only game that had any kind of crowd was HDR, and even with those guys, I couldent drum up any tourney entrants.
yep im sure we coulda had about ten peeps in a mvc2 tourny, i didn’t even know u guys has a set up or i would have been playing w/ cha ! o well, the tourny had some solid solid players, all the matches in the top 8 could have gone either way. i got takin out 2nd round and had 2 try n claw my way back, took along time haha. big ups to team van/cal/sask for comming out and making this tourny hype. i think team canada is gonna do some damage at evo this year, LETS GET HYPE BITCHES !!

Singles were cool and it’s where the real competition is at but I thought the team tourney was more fun. Big props to Jinrai for playing incredibly solid today and taking 1st.

I never did get to play Jones again but maybe another time. In any case I’m done with SF4 until Super comes out I got a back log of games to catch up on and there’s no real point in training in SF4 now. Also, enough of this mid tier bullshit for me I’m going to fuck some people up with my speculated broke tier Juri in SSF4 unless they buffed Viper.
