I’m seeing a lot of these setups against Ryu and i think they’re great but do any of them work when he does c.mk on wakeup to lower his hitbox? local ryu player on my team always does it and throws me so i hardly DFK anymore.
weird, you must do too much cross up DF, because Df is active till ground, there’s no way to duck under it like normal jump ins that aren’t active that long.

If you time or space it right c.MK will get hit. If Ryu players are doing thing consistently bait it out and punish the living hell out of it.
Is there a solid 50/50 against Vega in the corner?
DF dive kick gets me the best results vs him in the corner since it can cross him up.
Forward throw Vega in the corner, backdash then try MK & HK demon flips with different timings for executing the kick, IIRC some will cross him up while others won’t. Going for a DF grab every once in a while there mind fucks them pretty bad while they’re figuring out which way to block lol.
I didn’t see anything metioned about Rufus yet with the new DFT setup, so here’s what I found using :mk: DFP instead. The kick seems to either whiff or get punished by everything with both s.strong and c.strong so I just tried the palm instead. Maybe my timing just sucks, but I don’t have issues with the other already listed setups. Using s.strong for the timing on this.
All non EX Messiahs = counter hit
All non EX Snake Strikes = counter hit
All Galactic Tornadoes = counter hit
EX Snake Strike = whiff
EX Messiah = safe jumped
Super = safe jumped
Ultra 1 = safe jumped
Ultra 2 = the only attack that can hit

Vega seems to have one of the most normal hit boxes in the game. What looks cross up is a cross up and what doesn’t look like one isn’t one.
Have you actually been able to make it so that she cannot block at all? Because what I’m getting is a pseudo, kind of crap unblockable really. If she’s standing and tries to block in either direction she will get hit. If she’s holding straight down she will get hit. But all she has to do is the safest counter of all for the DFK…crouch block and it blocks. She can also do her counter and it will make the kick whiff.
for me on PC, if she is crouching guard back, the df whiff, if she dashes forward, gets hit, if she is crouchguard cross up, she gets hit. All reversal wheel lose.
She can backdash, parry make it whiff, so prolly a good mixup for a palm OS tatsu next time. But there isn’t that much occasiojn to land a df throw in a single round so it’s not the setup you gona use so much.
With the new tech I’ve found. Unblockables are about to get even more scary.

Not really a 2012 setup (might of been there since Vanilla) but I’ve found a df throw in the corner shoto unblockable (Ryu, Ken, Mak etc.).
However I’ve got a problem:
I haven’t used a normal for timing purposes. I just replicated the timing I thought would be necessary from the fwd throw in corner shoto unblockable and after numerous attempts I managed to find it.

If anyone can replicate this with the use of a normal, dash etc. I think the Akuma community would very much appreciate this.
