Hey guys, I’m wondering why people do the combo lk tatsu x jab x rh tatsu instead of a shoryu or fierce reset. Does it add more damage or is it just for show?

ah k, thanks for clearing that up. I recently saw kuroda doing that in the SBO finals a lot and I don’t recall seeing any other akuma players do it.

does 3S have a turbo setting? I didn’t know akuma could move so fast

When im doing the cr.mk xx lk hurricane the hurricane sometimes hits twice and then i cant juggle with shoryuken. It happens to me all the time! Can someone tell me what im doing wrong?

Obviously my last post about hiding jabs was ignorant in a few respects and subsequently ignored.
Let me then start at the beginning.

Someone please do me the favor of explaining how one goes from cr.lk into kara-demon without using TKD. I thought you had to hold stronger punches or something to hide the two jabs but now I’m confused.

this is a noob question and I might have asked this before but- what is an easier way of doing c.mk into dp? I can do c.mk into demon flip but for some reason I just can’t nail the srk consistently, maybe 1 out of 10 tries works. whereas 1 out of 3 tries I can do the demon flip.

Negative edge probably helps you for the demon flip.
Try to do DP motion faster after cr.MK…

On a side note: if you can’t confirm cr.MK into DP, don’t do it at all.

Something I’ve always wondered is why doesnt anyone every use Akumas SA3 or downx3 PPP.
Akumas SA3 does the most damage and can be hit confirmed with nearly every attack SA1 can be hit confirmed off. His Kongo when buffered correctly I’ve gotten to land pretty reliably when someone tries to poke you or do a wake up.

Also My finger isnt fast enough apperently to do his Kara demon fwd mp lp lp down right lk FP. Whats the other method of kara demon.

You can’t hit confirm SA3 with cr.MK at max range, and that’s THE point (IMO) of using SA1. That and SA1 Anti air properties.
SA3 is crap as anti air, AFAIK it does less damage than SA2, and you need to be quite close (closer than with SA1 or SA2) of opponent to confirm cr.LK, cr.LK.

SA1 > SA2 >> SA3

KKZ is only useful used with reset LP…
As cheap damage, it can be red parried: not that hard and usually only one parry after red flash is needed. Even if it’s not the case, opponent will stand next to you, ready to take half of your life down…

Other method for TKD is: practice…

cr.MK works just fine. Just cancel off with a tatsu then Super cancel that. It can also be done in the air but that rarely needed. Not a terrible antiair. Isnt SA3 the most damaging super out of his SAs? Which is why I even suggest using it

KKZ can be redparried but you say it like its easy. I couldnt see anyone want to even try that unless its a do or die situation as a messup is half your lifebar. I use KKZ invincibily frame and I wonder why noone else uses it. Risk is minor

i only use kkz when they’re knocked down and i know the chip will take them out. jab reset kkz is too risky for me, i’d rather take my chances and try to get a demon off.

Close standing MK confirm doesn’t work against twins with SA3, and must be done close to be sure to connect SA3…
