I play this, Ive got a level 29 Gladiator (yeah i know they lick dog turds especially for PVP, but im just a big sword kinda guy). The name is Anderu on Marchutan server.
Anyway, this is my first MMO and I think its pretty cool.

I am playing Aion, and Iām only level 22, rofl. Seriously, I should be 30+, but I switched from my Assassin to Templar and started over again (Couldnāt stand the Sinās anymore, although Dual Wielding is sexy).
Anyone on Meslamtaeda should give me a hollar or something, at this moment, Iām one piece away from getting the entire set of Worthy Noble Titanium for my Temp, and once I hit lvl 23 to finally equip it, Iāll be ready to to rock and roll :lovin:.

I couldnāt stand the defense of the Sin, not only that, but the fact they are so, so super gear dependent. Yes, every class is gear dependent, however for the Sin, I really need to be getting the really great daggers, equips to really see myself through. I thought it was just me, but talking with a few 45+ Sins, it seems Iām not the only one who feels this way about them being so super gear dependent then most other classes out there.
However with my Templar, I could be average (just okay equips, doesnāt need to be insane), and can still hold my own.
Templarās suite my style of play more, which is really what Iām saying. Iāll probably go back to my Sin again, someday, however going to focus on my Templar, and I just got to level 23 with her, and the Worthy Noble set looks absolutely pimp on her (threw a few +10 crits on the sets and +1 a few of them)ā¦however I still donāt have the gloves for that set yet :annoy:.
A have a few beefs with this game thoughā¦
To me, the earlier quest when your starting, doesnāt give you enough kinah to be alittle bit more flexible. I mean, quest were literally giving you shit kinah, and you would need to buy books for skills, fly, or warp, either get killed and having to soul heal. I mean, buying pots was an absolute nightmare at the beginning, which I felt was stupid.
Second time around with my Templar was 10x better, only because my Sin has a higher end extraction/craft so she could sell her things makings for kinah (Thank you Worthy Noble Swords for raking me 1.3-1.4m a piece!).
However, I absolutely, and I mean this, I absolutely hate the damn extraction. Especially the Aether Gathering, because it takes you an eternity to get this lvled, and many times that stupid bar is annoyingā¦sometimes it either just doesnāt want to start up, or else itās at the 97% complete mark and just decides to stop and sit there to piss you off.
I swear the creators mustāve did that on purpose so they could laugh at our faces as we pull flick the screen off in frustration. There was more then one occasion where I could only extract One Aether, because it took so long for the first extraction that by the time I got to the second one, I didnāt have enough time and was forced to having to land, or plummet to my death, which is absolute bs.
Lastly, I rarely actually see Mods on to remove āthoseā players from the server. I mean, every town I go into, there is some āFghffhhgfā named guy with a shop in tow saying āBuy Kinah with $$$ and we will also Pvl you for $$$ā statements. Seriouslyā¦where are the mods? Through out my entire month thus far, Iāve only seen an actual Mod twice.
Either way, I still enjoy Aion, Templar ftw!

originally i had been stacking hp and evasion cause i do mostly solo grindin. these days im in belusan, but ive noticed when i 1v1 ppl near my level who come through the rifts, i lose pretty badly.
from what i understand, thereās a soft cap of 440 crit, after which there are diminishing returns. 10 crit = 1% crit chance, until 440, after which you donāt get the full 1% amirite?
also from what i understand, your main wep determines attack speed. so if i main a dagger and offhand a sword, i get best of both worlds. can anyone confirm this.
iām trying to experiment to find a good setup.

edit: yesterday we were runnin fire temple without a templar. our legions 39 cleric was like, i can tank this! and you know what, we made it all the way to kromede without wiping. two chanters, me, and a cleric. kromede managed to kill a few of us tho. and of course nothing good dropped. but it was good lolz.

you mustve missed my posts earlier in this thread about how i hate mmos but had to join cause all my friends play this, and now on friday nites they stay in and game, so i had no choice. its my first mmo, and its pretty much the shitty grindfest i expected it to be. and cause iām not lettin it ruin my life, iām way lower level than everyone else.
but iām stubborn and will hit level 50 because once i start somethin, i see it to completion.

It is generally understood and accepted that Assassins will get raped unless you carry the correct consumables. If somebody snares you for example, you are likely to lose unless you chug a greater healing pot and get back in their grill.
From 440+ to 460 you actually have LESS Crit% than 440.
But yeah, more or less that is correct.
Mainhand + 0.25*offhand is your Swing Timer.

yeah, in addition to pots, it also sounds like they are the most gear dependent. specifically, expensive gear with +attack speed bonuses in order to engrave runes quickly enough to keep them stunned. as a result iām hearing lots of bitching about assassins on various forums about how they take the most work to win with
not really sure what to believe, so im trying to look for a tier list of the classes, with some kinda matchup chart. ppl are being called scrubs right now, but i think there are legitimate points being made:
you should be able to ambush in the air
dash attack and ambush should not share same cool down timer
the hit detection in this game is complete fucking shit, and it really fucks with any kind of meelee class. jesus christ detect the hitboxes better. i cant count the number of times im standing right next to a motherfucker and it says iām too far away.
