I really have no idea how so many Japanese pros jumped on the Hugo hate-bandwagon. The dude had one outstanding bad matchup on video and suddenly he was the worst character in the game.
Do we have a translator, because I am really curious as to what is being demonstrated with the ultra throw. Other than that, there is some good stuff here if you all didn’t already see this.
For mp DP, i guess lk lariat into backbreaker will work, i mean, i HOPE it does work would be a nice punish.
So against hugo only fadc backdash will be safe i guess… except he has super stocked. If Hugo has super stocked you shouldnt throw out srk/dp at all.
That’s right. In 3S his MS hurt box was not vulnerable to short range low attacks. It made it really useful when doing it at close range. This wasn’t present in SFXT.
If you look at the frame data it’s very easy to punish, say, ryu’s mp dp with HP clap combo. Hell it’s ALMOST possible to punish his lp dp with mp clap (-17 on block, but mp clap is 19 frames), so you can should be able to punish it with lp clap, perhaps even ex clap.
