Cr. Jab to light lariat punishes Dps well you’re better off doing ultra throw to get the better damage. I played rolento and I liked him a lot he really really fucks hugo imo. It’s pretty bad, it’s important that one the armor activates on standing HP nothing can beat it at all.

I really have no idea how so many Japanese pros jumped on the Hugo hate-bandwagon. The dude had one outstanding bad matchup on video and suddenly he was the worst character in the game.

So sad :frowning: and almost all grapplers have problems with sim

And as for people talking about punishing dps with ultra throw… Always punish with MS when possible. Corner carry and 320 damage with the st.mp juggle

I think the combo starts with HP clap, MP clap, ex clap, lp clap, cr lkxx lariat.

it goes from heavy, to medium, to light.

Damn that is a ton of damage + you can get a safe jump off of that! That will make people think twice about using a dp with no meter.

That’s only if they do a hp Dp I don’t think you’ll have enough time even if they do mp Dp.

For mp DP, i guess lk lariat into backbreaker will work, i mean, i HOPE it does work :slight_smile: would be a nice punish.
So against hugo only fadc backdash will be safe i guess… except he has super stocked. If Hugo has super stocked you shouldnt throw out srk/dp at all.

That’s right. In 3S his MS hurt box was not vulnerable to short range low attacks. It made it really useful when doing it at close range. This wasn’t present in SFXT.

Hugo will crush that pitiful insect Rolento.

If you look at the frame data it’s very easy to punish, say, ryu’s mp dp with HP clap combo. Hell it’s ALMOST possible to punish his lp dp with mp clap (-17 on block, but mp clap is 19 frames), so you can should be able to punish it with lp clap, perhaps even ex clap.
