AHM NUMBAH WAN - Hugo USF4 thread

Something tells me I’m in for a bunch of frustration with input overlap when it comes to Hugo in this game.

Frustration and Hugo go together like Mike Ross and 4th place.

So, is Hugos EX Backbreacker(the ground to air move) invc? I seen it beaten clean many times.
This is kinda scary, do he have an reliable AA?

Also, do anyone think Hugos two normals with armor will work as AA?

I think Hugo’s EX BB is only invincible on startup, not active part.

Hugo’s sHP is an amazing anti air. One of the best in the game from what I’ve heard.

Unless you have an air target combo like Ibuki/Yun or a multi hit jumping normal like Ryu j.mp you are absolutely fray to Hugo’s armored HP as an anti air I would imagine.

glad i’m not the only one who thinks this, I had to go back to sfxt and check but in that game he doesn’t have this problem…

oO he has a second armor normal? i thought the st.Hp was the only one.

I could be wrong here, but i believe to remember that the input issue was already brought up in one of the first location tests and after that, capcom “fixed” it.

I regularly got SPD when trying to do Claps in the latest version. To be fair, I typically do SPD with an ‘away-from-opponent’ direction 360.

Although I have seen LP BB beat jump in. It might be invincible. Note that I said “might”. I am not confirming anything.

Hammer hook is armored? No way.

I havent seen any footage yet that suggests that his far st.Hp hammer hook has any armor properties, surely someone would have shown it by now, would be ace if it was true though.

Only s.HP has armor, not f.HP.

I’ve seen in some videos where they manage to absorb the first hit, and then trade/beat the second hit, or it managed to sneak through between the 2 hits. Can’t find the video for you, it was some time ago.

in some of the videos you can actually see this happening.


I wonder if it’s possible to FADC lariat, and also wonder if it’s safe on certain distance so doing stuff like LK/MK lariat at certain distance is worth doing.

F.HP use to have Armor in earlier builds but was removed cause People could easily Exploit the shit outta that button

It’s probably changed to something that can actually hit ppl standing, f.hp is supposedly used as anti air. Whether its a good anti air move or not is a separate question, sf4 got plenty of Shitty designed anti air

Here’s some new stuff, training mode and you can see the damage of some of his moves.

120 damage on far MP is kinda insane.
