Well hell yeah I’m still down for this at the next GK tournament. One quarter, no other players, one full “loop” of the game (after Richard Rose the game goes back to the start, I believe GK’s machine loops indefinitely… so of course one full loop should qualify as “finishing” it). Bring it!
(I actually enjoy showing off at random games and certainly don’t need to be bribed into doing so, but I am ok with free money)

The Uajimaya Japanese Fesival 2010 happens the same weekend as the next tourney that is supposed to happen at Tilt. Sammy would really like for the tournament to get moved over there, and for another tourney the next day.
This event is pretty big and important for Sammy, and he’s really looking for the support of the community. The estimated turnout is between 5,000 and 10,000 people across 2 days.
We’ve got enough time before the tourney to be able to move it. the question is how willing is everyone to do so. We know what worked and what didn’t the last time, so we can improve things visually (sun screens to prevent glare, etc).
Sammy is looking for an answer ASAP. I’ve already taken the day off to help with setup and such.
I’ll be cross posting into the Team Tourney thread.

I’m still straggling, didn’t know you were playing Super now, cool. How’re the BB and GG scenes doing? Panda’s got me playing the Blazblue thingamabob, although I suck and just play Tager for the time being.
AMurderofCrows: Please delete that post. Joe already told Sammie the tournament was not gonna relocate. We’ve been planning this for a while already and there is no reason to change venues last minute. It’s very disrespectful to post that when Joe already gave him an answer. I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume Sammie didn’t tell you. If you guys wanna run an additional tournament at that venue then no one is gonna stop you but this is straight bs. Please delete this asap.
Sammie did not tell me, you are correct. He is looking for the support of the community and honestly he does a lot for us that seems to get overlooked. Therefore, i’m going to try to help him. I happen to like being able to play at these events because of his connections.
Being planned for awhile or not, this really isn’t such a huge deal to change venues. the hardest part is transportation, which we’ve proven is pretty easy to overcome. You’ve also got plenty of time. so either it’s laziness or unwillingness. And for the record, i told sammie that i felt it was cutting it a little close and that there may be some resistance, but i said i would try. So i did. I don’t particularly care where it’s at, but i do know that i’d rather be out at Uajimaya than tilt as more people = more visibility. No one wants the event canceled and no one wants a competing event. In fact, i’ve already got a partner and was planning on showing for this thing when Sammie called me last night.
As for removing the post, from what i can tell, it’s a free forum, and the content of the post is relevant to topic, so it is a legit post. It deserves discussion and exposure to the community in the open.
Angel, you have some balls telling me that you’ll “give me the benefit of the doubt” as if you are someone in a position to do such an action. I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you’re just drunk or high for a moment and let it slide, but don’t you EVER try to come off in a condescending manner like that again.
