AE ver. 2012 Viper changes

It leads to more meter usage in the long run because FADC costs 2-bars, whereas EX Seismo is safe for 1 bar.

Ex.seismo is safe-ish for 1 bar fp.tk fadc back dash is safe for 2 meters, he was saying how Vipers like to throw out a lot of ex.seismos but now with the nerf Vipers will be more hesitant with the ex.seismo which means we will usually have a lot of meter to fadc to safety if needed since Viper builds meter pretty fast.

Yes I guess you are using “more” meter, but I think youll find that you have 2 or 3 bars more often than not now. Plus EX seismo is still a really good frame trapping tool if you use it from certain distances. In the corner I really enjoy attempting low foward >> ex-seismo, since if I get a CH it will combo and more often than not if its not a CH they will still press a button or try to jump. Its super effective in the corner because your opponent is steady trying to escape.

So what’s the advantage in the 2 less startup frames of Ex TK it still can’t catch backdashes and is only good for teleports still I’m guessing ?

I think the biggest advantage is for timing purposes. Before I found that sometimes if my spacing on a safe jump was slightly off, when I OS into ex tk it would not catch akumas teleport. I think with 2 less start up frames, its more inclined to go the correct direction. I dont know for sure honestly, I am just guessing. When you use it you can definitely feel a difference, despite it being only 2 frame difference.

Probably still doesn’t have much use I think I don’t even use it do punish Akumas teleport I OS a SJ, only time I ever use it is if I mess up a fp.tk feint lol

Its got some very risky uses. Main one is of course catching teleports, which you should really save it for once a match, after reading the opponent’s tendencies to try and predict it. I also use it to sometimes zone full screen.

Starting off with typical seismo style zoning, if I am able to react to a jump, I’ll throw it out. Even if people put out a normal in the air to try and counter it, the EX TK might beat it out which would give you perhaps better positioning, or you might get the one hit trade which can be dashed into ultra.

I’ve done some really weird shit with it, including one time against my friend’s Rose, I caught his jump in such a way where I didnt trade but still only got the one hit, then he flew back towards me at just the right angle for me to juggle into U1.

Its better to AA with lp.tk when their jumping in at like max distance but if you mean from like full screen you AA with ex.tk that’s crazy I don’t think I would dare to try such a thing, do they have enough time to just not do anything land and DP your ass or do you hit while their high up? Yeah a lot people don’t know that you can juggle after a ex.tk if only the first hit connects hell a lot of people don’t even know ex.tk hits twice.

Yeah Im talking about full screen. You gotta read it just right though so they dont have enough time to land, like I said, its risky. I think a neutral jump puts them in a better position to land before you get to them but it’s still doable.

Now that C. Viper’s ex bk can link to U1, would it be possible to FFF, ex seismo, ex bk, hard tk, FADC ultra? Or am I just hoping a little bit too much? lol

Unless they gave Ultra more juggle points then no, FFF,ex.seismo,ex.bk,U1 probably works but anything more will waste the juggle point for the ultra. I think that ex.bk buff is kinda useless Viper doesn’t need another way to land U1 it’s easy enough already, only thing I can think of is just FFF,ex.seismo,ex.bk,U1 might do the amount of damage she does now or get close to it or just a random ex.bk reversal into U1 lol

Did I read somewhere it needs to be full hits of Ex-BK or just the last hit ?

EX BK needs to fully connect for the new juggle properties. But why did you want to know? Do you have some crazy combo in mind? (plz tell me you do)

That would be pretty cheap if ex. bk didn’t need to fully connect to U1 afterwards, I would just do crossup ex.bk U1 all day lol. I wonder if theirs a work around though to still U1 even if it doesnt fully connect like a meaty ex.bk or sumthing, but that depends if the properties are different when it does and doesn’t fully connect like if doesn’t full conncect will the opponent be put out of range or maybe fall faster etc.

No that still trades in AE, Balrog missed his safe jump. My friend plays Rog and I always trade when he misses that safe jump. The only buff fp.tk got is grab invulnerability I believe.

Ex Tk hits after counterhit cs.F and at the corner you can do FFF and Krone on his twitter says its an anti air too it has a use now whaaaa.

I dont play viper but was training with her to see what they changed but did anyone notice her ultra recover faster or its just me?

Only thing I tested so far was FFF Ex Seismo Air EX BK U1: 570 damage
