EX hands was confirmed by Hoodaman, so it’s really cool it really did get buffed.
Far standing HK, hitbox slightly expanded forward is something I can’t believe. It must be a mistranslation.
It would make way more sense for its hurtbox to be expanded forward…

Hmm, according to this list, we kept all the buffs (and nerfs) from the previous version, but we got 2 more buffs - which is downright awesome !!
Now, from what I understand, this list is not official and not 100% accurate, so:

st hk hurtbox might be extended instead of hibox. Also, many Honda players (including Mr.Snk) asked for a hitbox buff - maybe…we are lucky ?

No mention of U1 combo removal - still 8fr start, which is weird. So: either it is wrong (and Capcom increased the start up back), or they left the start up to 8fr, but did something to prevent comboing from Hands
All in all, I really like to Honda looks for now.
something is still not sitting right with that ex headbutt nerf :s still going to be 1 or 2 more builds before release in april. i suppose you now have a different option of ex oicho or even u2 on wakeup to beat a lot of stuff, so its gonna take some adjustment
i am wondering what would happen if someone tries to DP an ex oicho, will he sail right through you, and also, would you recover in time to punish his landing?
Depends on the dp. Not too hard to figure out.
well from the looks of it, a lp dp from ryu takes exactly 41 frames to startup and recover, and an ex oicho take 48 to completely finish. so ryu could punish that. but what i am not able to extrapolate is would the hitbox still line up with honda on frame 6 after invincibility has worn off from the ex oicho.

In this short video, someone successfully combo’d HHS into U1 at the Paris loketest.

Hmm. That someone is Cuongster, and he was able to do Hands - U1 on a standing Elena. Which means:
A. The Paris lock test has an earlier build where the combo wasn’t removed
B. The combo wasn’t removed at all (or Capcom made it work again in the Paris build ?)
Anyway, this is very interesting. It annoys me that Capcom doesn’t release an official change list, so we can see exactly what we have and give a proper feedback.
I’m very curious for example if Ex Hands being +5 is still there, or was reverted.

I’ve found some thoughts from LordDvD (he posted on facebook) on Honda - maybe he can chime in and tell us more ?
My french is terrible, but basically this is what he said:
- U2 is like in Super, but with better range
- U1 is a rocket, I was able to punish Chun’s fireballs several times from 3/4 screen. It’s also better as an antiair
- Ex Oicho has total invincibility against non airborne moves (like Ryu’s Dp), can catch anything, lows, medium, highs. I was able to beat Zangief’s U1 with it.
- Jump Mp is better, but is difficult to se how much, since other’s character’s antiairs were buffed.
- It’s possible to do cr lp xx Hands-U1 !!!. When the opponent is crouching, is even easier.
- Ex Hb is not safe on block
- Lp Hb has total invincibility. Great AA, and is also good against ground opponents. Now is also easier to do Lp Hb - Super in any conditions.
- Ex Hands got 1 more hitstun, now is easier to do Ex Hands- cr jab hands. Aceasta va devein standardul pt Honda. Now you can do cr Lp xx Ex Hands - cr lp xx Hands - U1 on Zangief.
- cl Hp is a better AA. At worst it trades now.
So, this means we still have Hands-U1 combo, but also the Ex Hands hitstun. And Lp Hb is now a better AA ? Man. This is looking good. REally good.
is it off mp extended hands though? that shit seems impossible to hit i cant even do it in training mode

damn. thats sick, so that means you must be able to currently link super off crLPxxFP Hands then right? i normally try and go hands,hands if i fucked up my charge timing but that might be a better idea…
If jab headbutt is FINALLY fully invulnerable on startup, Honda will cease to be a meter whore. It will essentially make EX headbutt obsolete (especially after the pushback nerf), allowing him to conserve meter for his excellent super. That single change would make me pick up Honda again.
Ex headbutt should have fireball invincibility. Pls suggest to capcom
i mean if they are gonna make the pushback that brutal then might as well make it fireball invincieble it is gonna be useless otherwise. will be good only for beating dudley, vega, blanka, and bison air attacks, thats it. rest you can just use lp with the buff.
It seems that ex headbutt becomes the current ex oicho… Why do we always have an unusable move? And why does it always have to cost meter? And why? And?
Ex. Hb may be worth using if when it hits it leaves the opponent close for mixup. When I suggested this to combo though he rebuffed.
He was REALLY recpetive to having either ex. Oichio or Hp. Oichio not crossup when used against an opponent in the corner. He even told me to write it down. I don’t know if it ever came to fruition though. I believe that hp / ex make it balanced due to those having bad range and costing meter respectively.
