I’m not understanding the problem with the EX rekka. It’s not like you instantly at an advantage like Yun’s EX lunge? (or Sagats EX knee, which is probably even better)
It’s only really useful for safe chip damage, which we can do already with lp rekka.

Personally , from the sounds of it, I’m not using this “wonder” move enough, sounds like you can combo into Ultra, command grab or just instantly kill someone ala Bruce Lee with 2 EX rekka’s…
I totally agree. People don’t understand why Fei is strong and just want to him nerf to oblivion cuz that’s where the bandwagon is heading. Ex rekka is not useful until AE. Even then, you can’t really pressure after 2nd EX rekka like EX lunge punch. I think they want it nerf because they saw it got buffed in AE and people think that’s what made Fei’s godlike. If anyone watched the Evo top 32, you can probably count how many EX rekkas were thrown out…not a lot.
Feilong needs Game of Death alt costume. Only buff I want.
And his c. Mp shouldn’t be touched at all. That’s like his only other good poke. If fei got in close enough to use it, that’s that.

Yea both were pretty bad, but at least Sagat is now rebuffed, yet to be seen for Guile.

LOL Absolue truth. I made a crapton of friends playing Fei in vanilla and lost just as much playing him in AE.
I think fei long should have more landing lag on all of his chicken wings but them having more hit stun so when they whiff you can punish it easier so when they land it’d have the same frame adv ect but whiffing doesn’t allow you to recover so quickly, kinda like balrog headbutt.
Then fei long would be fine! that would be the only nerf i’d want on him.
If i had to choose another nerf it’d be his Stun bar.
TBH i don’t think it’s balanced if fei longs chicken wing is guessed right about it whiffing then half the cast not being able to punish it in time, all you can see is fei long flying out for free. Not even a sweep would get to it, it’d have to be insanely strict timing but even then some of the cast can’t punish it. RIght there is some BS and you guys know it.
Fei longs EX chicken wing is like yangs teleport escape but on steroids. Fei long can attack and escape but if you block it he’s still safe. While yang does get that escape, atleast you can grab it and it doesn’t attack you at the same time.
Yep i’d aim for fei longs chicken wing free escapes for sure.
Yea really, its almost better to play lower tier online, so much less hate. Thats partly why I use diff chars, if they cry, just whip them with another.

another reason why its not good to hate on someone just because of who they play, heck I appreciate all the Vanilla Sagats I played forever(on PC), now that matchup is easy for me!
Remove hit invulnerability from EX ChickenWing.
Reduce ChickenWing damage by about 30 points on RH and EX versions.
Less push back from Rekka on hit.
EX DP deals 20-30 points less
cr. LK is +4 on hit.
^^^^^ that is an upper-mid and solid fei. His biggest issue runaway chickenwing is removed (yes it can be punished but it still is a useful option as it sometimes nets huge damage) therefore his wake-up is more free. He will have a hard time landing that combo except against shoto quality fireballs or worse with the invulnerability removal (except for character specific high damage and it will be a small nerf of about 8-9% [of combo damage] with the damage reduction to chickenwing).
In exchange for less pushback on rekka he gets an easier time combo’ing them vs crouching opponents.
less push back on rekka=dudley will eat his face.
I’m a dudley main and I do complain about rekka but he needs it to keep dudley the hell away. It’s when dudley knocks him down his Chicken wing escape is a big issue. Also he needs to keep his rekka pressure for chip. I think if you give him those nerfs yang would also destroy him depending on the yang nerfs in the next addition but he would be getting smacked hard by that rekka nerf more then that chicken wing nerf. Also many characters would prolly beat fei cause of that rekka nerf.
I say just do the nerf I said, and that’s that.
notice it says on hit … thus you know when he blows you away it doesn’t throw you as far. Who the hell gets punished using rekka against dudley? It blows fullscreenish now it should blow about 2/3rds the screen so it takes 1 more rekka combo to completely cross the stage.
You should have to deal with someone’s wake-up game on a knockdown, that’s kinda how SF traditionally works. So eating a knockdown mixup isn’t exactly mind boggling and you still have DP xx FADC that hey have to worry about baiting.
I wouldn’t change damage,hitbox, or pushback on block in any way for rekka. People can just nuetral jump that shit to punish it if they get a good read for 2 or 3 rekka combo’s worth of damage

Yea, people have to deal with Wake up game on knock down but moves that whiff and are safe majority of the time isn’t.
Fei long isn’t balanced, end of discussion. He needs some type of nerf or keep him the same and buff the characters that he beats very badly. I don’t think the dmg nerfs you gave him is a bunch of low key/half ass BS and wouldn’t matter at all.
