Im reading over a lot of post here and again I only see Fei’s FK and far HP gettign nerfed. I dont see frame changes to any of his normals as he is a speed character. Slowing him down would be pointless. All high level players know how to punish a rekka on block and once they have a life advantage they just have to sit back and let Fei come to them. A midscreen CW can be stuffed by the entire cast st.lp. If more players knew that the 2nd & 3rd hit have no priority they would throw st.lp more often. buff the rest of the cast and Fei will fall back in the pack.
Or what Capcom should just make the update so that you can play AE vs Super. Super Guile vs AE Fei is a 5-5, same goes for all the bath matchups Fei had in Super. Problem solved and his damage output wont have to be touched.
Been maining Fei since the Vanilla days. I hope they don’t gut this character too much. I agree with slight tweeks to reduce damage output for rekka and flamekick.
Some of the suggestions from the community seem too extreme like slower pokes and such.
If they do this, might as well make him a T. Hawk like grapple character and give him a death similar to how Bruce Lee went out.

Nerf normals like everyone else said and I REALLY want his EX Rekkas to return to what they were like in Vanilla Super. In Super they were -8 on first hit so they were actually punishable, but in AE they are 0. Atleast make it a risk on using it. Its almost just like Yun’s EX lunge punch.
I do agree with you the Fei’s ex Rekka is amazingly powerful and safe. Don’t forget the Yun’s is full screen distance that can break focus as well as lead to Ultra on hit and mixup guess on block do to its +1 frame.

No ex rekka is -2 on block from the 2nd hit not “00” and they are far more characters who have -2 on block moves. Fei’s Normals are fine. They dont have great range and also very little priority. Other characters got nerfed so thats why Fei feels stronger. Super Guile in Dieminions hands is like fighting a up hill battle with no ladder and rope to help you climb
I main abel adn fei just happens to be one of his biggest nightmares… as much as this character gives abel a hard time, those nerfs you suggested, are i think, a little too much, I actually enjoy Fei being a good character…
Command grab counting as 1 hit thus scaling the damage is a good and fair idea i think… like gouken’s back throw
Agree on the dp damage nerf but a little too much i think… just take 20 off each one… no need for big jumps like 40.

Correct me if I’m wrong:It’s invincible on the whole way through iirc, it’s safe on block, and it combos on hit…AND it only costs 1 meter… too good of a move all around if you ask me…
I say it ought to only have pure invincibility during part of the start up… and only proj immunity for the entire move… so make it like cody’s ex criminal upper…
and MAAAAYYYYBBBEEE, this is a huge MaAAaaYyyBbbbEeee… Make chicken wing -1 on block… It’s a little cheap imo, to give a character who has a 3 frame short and jab a move that’s a meterless get in move, 0 on block…
but meh… move can be stuffed… so maybe 0 is ok… just throwin it out there.

wow only 5 Fei longs made top 32. Its not that serious. He can still be beat. Get the life edge lame it out and punish his mistakes. Thats what Fei players do we punish your mistakes.
Fei’s EX chicken wing isn’t invincible the whole way right now, it’s properties are actually exactly as you said it should be, dive kicks and option selects beat it clean if you throw it out on wake up
Yes I missed making that point. I guess i was just frustrated because people want him chopped down instead of learning how to beat him.
About Fei’s command throw:
LK/MK/HK - 14 frames with 0.92 range
EX - 12 frames with 1.23 range
Yang:
LK/MK/HK - 10 with 0.96 range
EX - 7 with 1.19 range and throw invincibility
Yun:
LK/MK/HK - 7 with 1.1 range
EX - 5 with 1.3 range and throw invincibility

Back in Vanilla and early into Super, I use to wish Tenshin was a little faster, further reaching and throw invulnerable. Now that Yun is demostrating how terrifying that would be, I’m glad Fei Long didn’t get that treatment. You guys see that video of Xian demostrating Yun’s Kara Tenshin? The range on that thing… I felt light-headed.
I’m having trouble finding finalized changelogs of SFIV to SSFIV, but off the top of my head Fei Long changes went:
SFIV “Vanilla” to SSFIV:
+Forward st.HK’s second kick follows through faster
- Lost close st.HP xx Rekkukyaku loop (increased Rekkukyaku start up or reduced hitstun? I can’t remember)
No changes to Vitality, Stun Resistance, Damage Output etc.
SSFIV to SSFIV:AE
+EX Rekka safer on block
+st.LP +6 on hit, allowing cr.HK link
+Close st.MK startup changed to 4 Frames
+Backdash is airborne after invulnerable frames (I think everyone got this treatment, too)
- Heavy Rekkukyaku startup invulnerable frames removed
No changes to Vitality, Stun Resistance, Damage Output etc.
I might be missing a thing or two, but I’m pretty sure those were the major things.
Focus attack damage has been reduced for all characters, it was supposed to be 180 for everyone at level 3, since Super, it’s 140.

I dunno for sure. I heard it from some commentating. Although, it might have been the second hit and not the first. I think it might be -1.
I believe it is minus 2 on block.
According to SRK Wiki Frame Data, the first EX Rekka is 0, the second is -1 on block.
I wouldn’t mind having EX Rekkaken (1) -1 on block and the second -2 or -3. If you decide to toss out a poorly spaced second EX Rekka, I feel we should deserve some sort of retaliation.
