ah, so that’s what it’s called. i’ll practice that, thanks for the help
Wouldn’t a backdash on wake-up do the trick too, since there’s throw invincibility? On another note, I’m glad that they updated the front page to make it easier to read the wikis. I was looking throw the SSF4 engine section and learned about all kinds of stuff like this ^^^. Speaking of that, since some characters have different stand up times, and characters have different stand times according to orientation, do I need to learn meaty setups for each state, or can I just eyeball it like I have been?
Anything with throw invincibility works, was just stating an example. I could have worded that better though.
Ah, ok gotcha. Thanks for the help!
I don’t think you can backdash out of it if the Cammy has their spacing right. It’s both an air and a ground throw, and backdashes aren’t air throw invincible. You have to mash a low move.
As far as backdashes go it’s a matter of range and hitboxes, so depending on the setup and the character you will still get grabbed by the likes of Hakan or whoever. You’re right, you’ll still get grabbed out of the air though if the setup can reach you after the invincibility.
I could be wrong but I’m fairly sure you don’t go airborne until after you lose invincibility.
omg just lp jet upper lmao
on rg no net for q while
lp jet is too simple, we are looking for the complicate smart stuff.
people will call you masher, no body wants that.
How in the world am I supposed to stop high Ariel moves like Dictator’s and Vega’s flips? Those two characters can literally perfect me with just those to moves because I have no idea what I need to do to prevent stop them! Thanks, Dudley forum.
Cross Counter Guess.
c.MP trade since it’s not as punishable on whiff as s.HP ect.
Abuse j.HK at the range they cant anti air it
Jump until they start making reads and you have something to work with with all your anti airs.
Never get cornered.

Any tips on the Juri matchup. Not only is her zoning crazy and duck bait, her pokes make most of mine whiff and allow much punishment…then i have a hard time dealing with her on wake up and forcing the Ex pinwheel without guessing(last one could be my controller…I’m using one of the madcatz street fighter fightpad and i have noticed that inputs come out faster on arcade stick…but i so suck on arcade stick)
I think Dud vs Juri is even. Juris think Dudley wins or Juri wins.
I don’t know what to say.
I use u1 and a lot of duck straight / empty duck jump bait / upper.
s.HK punishes everything.
Don’t get cornered.
Somewhere I think I remember reading that Japanese Juris think Dudley is free. The statement was supplemented with a video of Kuroken vs. some top Juri and he basically got stomped. Wish I had link.
Edit: I don’t think I’ve ever played a good Juri.
I think it’s a bit in Juri’s favor. Not 6-4 mind you cause she’s free as fuck when she’s knocked down, but a Juri with a good ground game always gives me trouble until I get meter.
I can feel that, she’s incredibly hard to approach cause of her crouch mk and crouch mp for AA. Her fireballs have pretty good recovery too so if she can space them out it’s harder to play the ducking game until you get meter imo. I want more exp in that matchup to be honest cause it is one that has frustrated me along with Yang and Cammy.
I think I’m gonna have to start learning stick, the input lag i get from the controller just doesn’t exist on my arcade stick.
Dunno if this has been mentioned before, but I found a good way to practice okizeme spacing vs Cammy. Hitting her, standing or crouching, with a point-blank st.HP seems to put her at the furthest range for a f+HK, st.HK link.
Sorry for the delayed response. I posted that and immediately went out of town for three days, where the internet was garbo. Thanks for the tips, Thrityfour. I’ll make sure to start using cr. mp when Bisons and Vegas go for a flip.
Don’t forget to CC
