Wacky game, but seriously good version of Chun-Li in that one. Basically her 3s version + better/comboable into and out of SBK + Yunyang command grab + Alpha upkicks + upkicks unblockable thanks to GCFS. :lol:

It just becomes another guessing game and I bet you don’t like it enough to use SBK’s in your BnB’s? It is ok but having an untech knockdown would be do much better, new safejump set ups, decent damage etc…

Add a little more damage to her ultra’s , and maybe give her the overhead move she had in third strike … lol joking although that would be awesome.

Slightly faster St.HK would be nice…

Always hated how slow her jump is. Other than that, Chun is fine, it’s just that the game changed too much against her favour.

hard knockdown from a SBK is too much imo… soft knockdown sucks

A bigger stomp hit box would be nice so some people are easier to get 3 stomp after jfp->fp without the dash.

U1 doesn’t drop on ANY character.

Slight dmg buff to U1 and U2 (like very minor 30-50 points).

Change her back to Super Chun, then do the following:

Give her FADC’able upkicks/DP move.

Give her dive kick with no height restriction.

Give her command grab that leaves her at +5.

Forward+mk kara throw.

Jump speed buff, less floaty but same height and trajectory.

Untech knockdown on lk sbk.

Ultra 1 corner juggle reliably on all characters.

Ultra 2 damage buff and faster startup.

Faster focus attack startup.

Enhanced stomp hitbox.

Health buff to 1000.

Anti air standing mk into juggleable state.

4 frames invincibility on EX legs.

Hazanshu completely throw immune during startup and active frames.

EX hazanshu completely invincible during startup and active frames.

All strengths of Super 1 frame startup and 3 frames invincibility.

Take away 1 active frame of crouching jab to leave her at +7 on hit (ala balrog), allowing combo into sweep, crouching fierce, standing strong, and ultra 1.

This is fun.

I just think taking out the bugs with her Ultra 1 would be fine.

Chun is a tough character to use but she’s got all the tools she needs to get by.

I would like to see her given something to make the Viper matchup a little better. And maybe something for Dhalsim, but that may just be me struggling with him.

And DF LK should have the same hitbox but not be free ultra 2. It does shit damage, so it should be good. now it’s just useless.

On a more serious note, I would like to see some revisions to EX hazanshu. Nerf the damage a little and take away the knockdown in exchange for armor breaking properties. Outside of using it’s invincibility to escape an occasional sticky situation, and even less for a chip damage victory, EX hazanshu is pretty useless. Giving it armor breaking properties with the potential to combo afterwards would give opponents a very strong reason to focus less. And imagine the saltiness of Rog players when you shut down their EX rush punches with it.

Don’t really care, I could think of a thousand little things, an entire list of buttons that could be made better or more interesting (cr.mk probably on the top, both because of tradition and because of how close is it to actually being an awesome tool, instead of the situational button it is) and I hope she gets some new tools for me to play with, or at least a better df.lk, but I don’t feel like I’m at the point where I blame my losses on Chun, so I’m not going to holler for buffs.

also make ->+fwd kick useful and maybe cr.fwd a bit more range.

other than than fix her ultra 1 and give her back df+short like super…to be honest so what if it trades to ultra 2 alot of characters have really good options also.

ex hazanshu armor breaking would be too much LOL!!! I think it shouldnt be so easy to throw or jab her outta it.

ex sbk needs to be better if they dont get her better anti airs coz Guys elbow and alot of angled neutrel jump atks stuff it pretty easily.

chun needs buffs? would it be because the twins are beat her too badly or does she legitimately stink? If the latter what are her weaknesses? Because I thought everyone would agree chun needed some nerfing, please enlighten me.

At the AA buffs, it was my understanding that her weak AA game was compensated by her strong ground game. Not just in the IV series but in regards to her general character design in SF games (sure there are notable exceptions). In most SF games you have to keep them spaced out and usually take to the air to stop them from jumping in on you (which is why I gather she has an air throw), carefully gauge the space to figure out what buttons to use or just plain block. Someone here is probably more knowledgeable than me can shed some light, but isn’t the reason they nerfed df lk cause having a dedicated AA makes her ground game even more hard to get around?

Only thing I’d want is what most people are saying is fixing the U1 juggles. Didn’t even mind people falling out in the corner, but mid animation is too much.
