At 5:26 in this video, Ryu Focus attacks Adon’s Jaguar kick. I thought that move was armor breaking?

I could be wrong, but it looks like instant air jaguar kick version. I don’t think that version is armor breaking, at least according to eventhubs.

Don’t use JT on your wake up (slow and doesn’t have invincibility). Go easy on the random RJ’s; back-dashing, blocking, and crouch-teching should be your main defense on wake-up.
You seem to like c.HK a lot. It’s not a bad move, but it’s lag can kill you if you whiff it often (eg. free jump-in, counter sweep, etc). They can also throw out faster pokes against it. To remedy this, try using c.MP more; it’s really fast and extremely safe to throw out. A few consecutive hits of c.MP usually keeps players honest for some frames, so then you can try to advance by doing Instant AJK, mk/hk JK, or if you’re daring enough (and willing to risk a reaction DP to the face), jump in.

Hey guys, I recorded and uploaded a match if anyone has time to critique. This definitely isn’t my best fight, but I think it’s a good example of the sort of mistakes I make most frequently.

The first round is pretty awful and random on my part. The Ultra finish is the result of a totally botched anticipation, which is stupid because all I needed to do was wait for a fireball and punish on reaction. Can U1 punish Chun’s c.HK on react?
I felt that I did a decent job of controlling the match, especially in round 2 despite the loss. I’ve always played very aggressively and I feel that I’m paying much more attention now to zoning than I used to. Finally learning to be patient, haha
How do you feel about the use of LK tooth? I ate a fireball at one point, but so far I’ve had a lot of success in my matches mixing it up with HK and EX tooth.
Mostly, though, I feel that my biggest problem is that I’m not capitalizing enough on damage opportunities. There were plenty of blocks and whiffs where I feel I could have gone for at least as simple combo string and I instead just punished with RJ. Are there any simple, solid B&B combos you’d recommend?

Nice adon… you say your aggressive but you seem very patient to me:rofl: . good use of jaguar kicks and Hk. All I can think of is getting your instant air jaguar kicks down and some cr.lk pressure on chun sometimes on wakeup . but good shit overall.
Be prepared to have 7/60th’s of a second reaction. EDIT Did you mean on reversal? If so, negative. -5 on block.
Overall I liked your Adon play: get a knockdown>get in>back-dash on their wake-up>JK. As far as that match went you played right. Chun wasn’t doing much about Jagar spam, so if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. You might have to be trickier with JKs against people with good DP reaction, though.

First off, real good stuff. I liked where you placed your cr. mp, it seemed to counter poke everytime you used it. Very nice. Actually, I liked your overall footsie game and think you played safe for the most part. Good spacing, and I must agree with seraphin that you are very patient, especially compared to me. That’s a good thing, though! : )
A few things that would have got you the win…
Why no love for the neutral jump hk? It hurts her so bad on wake up, there is NOTHING she can do about it, so abuuuuuse it. Also, ia jk really, really hurts chun, especially if you’re mixing them with the grounded hk jk and ex jk, that will strike the fear of god in her eyes. You should check out my ranked, I forget which one, but I have a match with chun where I eat 3 st. hps in a row doing hk jag tooths on her! haha. So, I don’t know exactly how I feel about it, you made it work, but I don’t know how much use it will overall have in the match, I think ex ground jk is a safer way to get it, but I do the hk jag tooth to get in a lot anyway. I think you’re definitely on to something with using the lk jag tooth, would have been a real nice way to bait out her ultra. I bet ultra 1 could probably punish it, but I’m not exactly sure, that’s something to look into, I suppose. One big thing, you definitely don’t want to whiff a grounded jk while she has super, she will punish you. Post more vids, man! I would love to see some more matches!

In “SSF4 Dr.Chaos Adon VS Sonichuman Ryu.M2TS”, how is Adon jumping over Ryu’s Hadokens? It doesn’t look like a normal jump.
