You mean a jumping normal that puts someone in a juggle state like j.MP? Cuz you can jump-in with any of Adon’s normals and combo into RJ.

Sadly, no, he has no normals that cause a juggle state.

Its a shame really, his air to air is mediocre at best imo. j.mp is the best air to air by far i believe. Not including any neutral jump stuff of course, otherwise his nj.hp is awesome! :smiley:

Anyway having a juggle would be awesome (I know id love it!) but if he had that he could possibly be crazy, imagine doing it in the corner and getting u2! A jumping opponent in the corner is already an almost free ultra if you have ex!!

On another note, being a cody main (see the pic lol) I realize I have been really spoiled with his Back+mp anti air normal.

It comes out hella fast and is amazing. I am having some trouble with anti airing people if I am not quick enough to JK. I watched some vidoes and I am working on it, I think ill start mixing in his nj.hp as I haven’t really tried that yet.

I guess I don’t have a question its more or a vent heh.

He’s not really designed for air-to-air, mainly because JKs keep people out of the air. Jumping LP has good priority, but it’s range is terrible. It can stuff things if you know where they’re going to hit, but you can’t just throw it out and expect it to do any good.

true however better air to air would make me feel better haha!

About AE Adon is there any new block strings, combos, links, or mixups?

I think the developer’s blog stated that cs.MP is +6 on hit, which would mean you could link a c.MP afterward, or any number of nonsense. I think they also said that the frame advantage on some of his bread and butters is better so they’re not 1-frame links anymore.

I distinctly remember them talking about cs.HP into JK. Can’t remember which JK, or maybe it was just the EX version. Basically it seems like he has more meaty options, but nothing really in the way of block strings or links. I’d like to see if a meaty cs.MP can help him setup some knockdown pressure, but mostly I think the biggest buff Adon got was his footsies.

i can’t seem to be able to safe jump yun or yang in training mode. their DP’s are all 5 frame startup and up. what gives?

I seem to be able to safe jump Yang but not Yun. Forward throw dash once j.hp.

Haven’t actually tested it in training room only in player match. The op might have been just bad :slight_smile:

Is there a list of adon’s safe jumps? (ones that don’t require your own timing of "wait a split second then…)


Two off the top of my head are:

Cammy: Forward throw, dash once, jump and in HK/HP. If she does a dp you can dash forward once again and cr.lp xx rj fadc Ultra 2 too. Or just U1 I think

Rog: same setup as above :slight_smile:

That’s the first setup I try with all the cast. Usually works off a bnb too. As in after the rj knock down.

Works against sim too I think

For Adon’s roundhouse, is the 9 frame startup for when his knee hits, or when he hits with his foot only? Or is it the same for both?

I have a question…I main yang but im looking for a alt.Im interested in Adon and I wanna know if Adon is a easy character to learn or some sort of a challange ?

Any tips for fighting Ken?? I am at a complete lost!

you probably cant safe jump Yun as I believe he has an insane wake up speed like ‘super’ Adon!

Teknosiiz - Personally I would say Adon is quite basic, he has simple combos and great normals. However jks are not the brainless tool some people think and if you put some time into him I feel he can be rewarding. His ‘woman character’ health and his slight risk-reward style used by some players can be a nice challenge! :smiley:

when you are presuring your opponent and you do cr.lp, cr.lp and you see its blocked what do you do? end it with cr.mp xx JK or what?

^^ from cr.lp, cr.lp, you can cancel that second cr.lp into HKorMK Jaguar Kick or go cr.lp,cr.lp,cr.mk xx MK Jaguar Kick. or walk up throw, or nothing if you think they’ll reversal DP or something. or you can instant air jaguar kick to bait a throw but that’s not that good.

the cr.mk wont link from a cr.lp will it? I thought it was a 1f link from a close st.lp?unless you mean as a frame trap?

I usually follow a blocked cr.lp, cr.lp with a cr.mp, then either jump, wait, or hk.jk/mk.jk depending on how far back ive been pushed…
Sometimes ill follow the cr.mp with a cr.hp, works better in AE due to the faster start up and I believe its safe. Seems to work as a type of frame trap and being a move you can cancel into super, can net some good damage.

I agree the iajk isnt a great option, however it depends on the character you are against, or/and how good you are at them… I do it occasionally against button happy makotos as an example, and on counter hit you can get a fair bit of damage. A point to note here, is to be careful what one you use! hk will likely go over a few characters who are crouching, even if you do it as low as possible. (or at least seems to for me because of the horizontal range) a counter hit mk iajk can still go into sweep I believe!
(not sure about lk, or even if its possible to sweep from a mk non-counter-hit?).

and how do you do an IAJK? you just jump and then do the motions as quick as posible? sorry for the noob questions
