You know how Ryu can throw out crouching forward or strong and then if it hits he can do a Hadoken on reaction?
Adon doesn’t have any such combos. He combos into Rising Jaguar, which is heavily punishable if you miss the combo. Why would you end up doing Rising Jaguar if the hit didn’t connect? Because the BnB involves cancelling his c.lp into Rising Jaguar. If you don’t cancel it, the RJ might still hit, but there are some characters it will whiff on unless it is cancelled. Since c.lp has 3 frames of startup, you can’t wait to see if it hits or not to cancel into RJ; you just have to buffer and hope it works. This is why Adon combos typically consist of 2-3 c.lps, but the problem with this is that they are 1-frame links, and if you miss the link on the last one, you won’t know until after you’ve buffered the RJ input. Then it’s too late.
Furthermore, while they’ve improved his footsie game by buffing his normals, he still has nothing he can hit confirm on any of those normals except his super.
his cr.lp’s are 2f links just to correct you there. But you are right about everything else… Its still impossible to perform a RJ on reaction like you said. Plus lk.rj is 4f and the mk/hk are 5f meaning we can only link the lk.rj and its a 1f link.

holy shit. I found out something today which has told me ive been feeding wrong information into the hands of Adon players.
I hope some of you saw my mistakes and ignored them but if not apparently the way I was originally told about frame data is wrong. Adons c.lp into c.lp is a 3f link not a 2…

Well apparently, they’ve locked the other thread thanks to Non-Adon players, just great.
Can we now start preparing a formal letter to Capcom on behalf of all SRK Adon players? I could even imagine all of this being too late, but really, let’s give it a shot (a proper one.)
READ THIS: We should also **avoid asking for the quicker wakeup, **as it is really unlikely to get back in. We know the devs don’t approve of it, so instead of crying and asking for it, let’s concentrate on the other things. Some recurrent requests I’ve seen were:
- Turn cs.HK into a command normal.
- Fix instant air Hk.Jk’s hitbox + input leniency
- Drop the JK nerfs
Anything else? Please, keep in mind that we have to drop the personal wishlists and go for realistic things that could be asked for.
EDIT - Question: Am I the only one who would like to see JK’s motion changed to qtb?

I think its fine the way it is now but maybe a lil quicker if the hitbox is gonna be enlarged
You know what? I want air JK off of a jump back, even if it doesn’t travel forward and simply kills his backwards momentum. It would make IAJK easy but with little forward arc, and then a more difficult version, the one that we have now, that travels forward and pressures more.
Realistically I’d like:
- Turn cs.HK into a command normal.
- More leniency on the IAJK
- Drop the JK nerfs, or keep the hitbox nerf but buff the move in another way. Smaller hurtbox, less recovery, more stun, something.
So you think the devs won’t go for fixing wakeup, but they will make IAJK more lenient and broaden the hitbox? Remember that move Cammy had in SSF4 called TKCS? What did the devs think of that move again?
Asking for old wakeup is probably a lot more realistic since the data already exists and they won’t have to create anything new, just return to what they had before.
Adon’s been doing fine without cs.HK as a command normal thus far.
And also, what the above poster said about IAJK.
Therefore, I’d be fine with just dropping the Jaguar Kick nerfs.
The moves have drastically different properties. Her move doesn’t have an arc to it, and hit more rapidly. I don’t know that anyone is asking for a lower window for activation, just a broader window for the input.
I’m not disagreeing that the moves are different, but I think it’s pretty clear that developers are weary of messing around with ALL instant-air moves. I’d be worried that if we open the discussion on IAJK, they may actually nerf it and give it a height restriction. The difficult input is probably the only reason they’ve left it as is.
