Also, I didn’t see your reply, my apologies. Asking for a quicker JK to compensate for a hitbox nerf is actually unreasonable. People already bitch about the move (although it is unsafe) because scrubs can’t punish it, making it faster would only make it even harder to punish with and without the nerf.

So I guess we’re only two to dislike ground JK’s motion for now ._. …

I think qcb is a very very bad idea for JK. 214 = JK 3214 = JT. I’d rather have the occasional crossup input getting confused than every time i want to JK a tooth coming out instead.

This. Half circles suck! but we are stuck with tooth being a half circle. I would rather have rj/jk coming out from messed up shortcuts than jk/jt.

Well, I wouldn’t mind having JT changed to a backward DP. Kinda forgot to mention it… QTB & HCB don’t go together, I agree. But yeah, how about that?

His commands are fine IMO

From what I’ve read they just seem to think that hes better than most, though some shit was exaggerated. Basically adon seems fine on paper but in real situations alot of those options hardly seem practical

I don’t think he’s overpowered at all, but he is a strong character.

He certainly has all the tools to win. Even with the TK nerfs, he will still be strong. Great DP, easy FA breaks, solid utras (esp. now with the U1 buff), tons of safe jumps, super sold combo’s, great ground based normals, great air-air normals (air-to-ground normals are just ‘ok.’). His only real issue is his lack of health and stamina. If you look at many of the buffs given in this game, they seem to focus and benefit characters that can scrap out and grind out a win in a fight.

Hit for hit, in a heavy pressure/ in your face mix up game, I think Adon is at slight disadvantage against character with more health. The Dudley, Cody, and Boxer, type match ups are going to get tougher. He doesn’t have the health or stun to grind out a win. They have been given solid buffs to their fundamental ground game, where he still will depend a lot on shenanigans, subterfuge, and 50/50 mix-ups for the win.

Opponents who understand this and play against Adon conservatively and will beat him hit for hit through a match. He can’t win by pounding it out (not that he ever did). I stated before he’ll have to rely on solid mind games and mix-ups, in a game that it seems to have been rebalanced towards a fundamental ground game.

Adon in many ways is a glass cannon. After thinking about it, I one thing I would love to see in the game is for Adon to get 1000 health, it would give him just a bit more room to grind out a win, or take that one extra chance mix-up.

?? It’s like the worst DP ever. Tons of jumps in beat it (which defeats the purpose of having a DP IMO) and you can be thrown/grabbed out of it.

No one is saying Adon is low tier, but he needs something to stay competitive, especially if they’re nerfing his best tool.

Jump ins wont beat his hk.rj is its done late enough. If its being beat you are doing it too early.

Except that we play online, and anything can happen with regards to timing. Compare that to one of the more brain dead DPs that can be sloppily timed and still AA 100% of the time and I wouldn’t call it a “Great DP.”

But, I play offline and can time the move properly. It hits clean for me. Placed correctly, it’s a good (I’ll let go of “great”) DP.

Are you suggesting there is a metagame for the 2012 rebalance dev cycle?

I’m saying the developers don’t understand how their own game works, and the TKCS at such a low height was something they didn’t realize would be so strong, which scared them. If they start paying attention to low IAJKs they may have the same worries…

Nah I wouldn’t worry about that. Just look at the properties of the move; you still come way off the ground and propell forward for a lot of frames.

There any actual info on hitbox data yet? For both the RJ and JK changes?

Personally at this point the main thing I thing I’d ask for is more range on c.mk, even if it was just a few extra pixels.

I beated some top players with Adon, especially a trash-talking Zangief player who was supposed to be 6th best on PSN. That goes to show that people who does not play Adon need to shut their mouths and stop being ass. For me I learn from my mistakes and I hope you all do too, but no else does.
