Well they fixed 2 glitches, u1 at close rage (who cares) and the focus attack, that’s quite nice. Given him a slightly (oh so very slightly) better frame trap in cs.MP. Inceased pushback on his only combo ending special (which is really gonna help a pressure char) and made jaguar kicks beatable by pretty much any anti air in the game. Big time nerfed in my estimation.
Edit: No more RJ hitbox changes either…must be gone in favour of this pushblock…

Meh. I hate nerfs when the character is in the lower-mid tier.

The one thing I wanted was guaranteed crouching bnbs (for punishing ppl from a distance) on all characters but we can still pretend
im fucked off at the change from increasing the horizontal range. personally i rarely had an issue with crossing up from the FADC. Capcom really annoyed me with this.
If I understand it will be more difficult to use the medium jaguar kick against projectiles and the light and medium still doing 140 damages and the hk version 130.
It’s look like it will suffice to just spam a good normal to beat jaguar kick and use instant air against fireball, the best way to eat a focus attack, I’m waiting to test these changes but it seems worst than we thought.
Knowing Capcom we just have to wait the v.2013 to have the old jaguar kick back

I wish dude. I doubt we shall see anything other than a steady decline for what seems to be an already underplayed character.
I dont doubt Gamerbee moves away from Adon now and I truly hope you are wrong regarding using medium to go over fireballs. It is one of the few things that truly puts the fear on people at midrange.
I was looking forward to a horizontal range buff on RJ as it meant more reliable combos (or at least pointed that way)
Sigh… oh well I considered swapping to Oni looks like ill do that or just drop the game.
None of these changes really alter the way Adon matches up against the field. In fact, most of the biggest changes are the result of other characters getting nerfed/buffed. I really wish Adon’s cl. HK was changed to a command input, but I guess the upside is that playing Adon forces you to have really good reaction time for DP anti-air : )

Ryu might be a problem, but that matchup has always come down to player skill and knowledge of each other’s wake-up gimmicks.
The nerf to JK looks even worse than anticipated (hurt box to the toe) and the damage reduction to a character who doesn’t hit very hard is just…WTF. F-U, Crapcom.
I just don’t get why they allow the character to perform a combo such as, c.lp x2, c.mp. shoryuken if it will whiff on characters depending of spacing. It’s not a 10 hit combo, It’s not something other characters don’t have, it’s just a freaking bread and butter.
I think Adon was/is the epitome of If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
If you look back with an objective view, all his changes were pretty much useless. I thought the ex jaguar tooth not glowing was a good thing but who the hell spams jaguar tooth full screen, or even mid screen as some characters can punish it with a freaking ultra on whiff!
The ultra 1 is… meh, almost gimmicky and If I have ever gone over the other character it was because I did something scrubby (just throwing it out there for the heck of it, or messed up the spacing)
I mean, he has problems but if you see the way capcom adresses “problems” then better stay quiet and forget about it because you are getting the nerf bat, son!
This is their way of giving you a change that makes absolutely no difference whatsoever, but looks like a buff on paper so that people don’t think the character got raped.
It’s happened to me often against Cammy and Sakura principally and cost me very few matches.
The changes about the close mp are ridiculous until the move doesn’t force stand, as we know a crouch character is a real problem for Adon.
I did some tests, against Sakura, no problem, Cammy we must use the rj medium, against the twin the ex.
I don’t really understand the fierceness of Capcom for this move when we have the close hp and mk for frames traps.
Like you said is a buff on paper, when we could have really and usefull buff like 1000 health or a better hit box for the air jaguar kick, there is nothing more frustrating to see this move whiff so much.
Ex jag tooth is projectile invincible now so yea that shit is alot better than what it was.Also u1 went over peoples head when I tried to punish them for something point blank so now it’s alot better so really most of adon changes were for the better.I agree with you though… they gave him alot of shit that wasnt even needed
Yeah, it goes over projectiles but at the range in which that move is “intelligent” to use (punish fireballs) it’s kind of a pointless or won’t work well against someone who knows that to do. Why waste a meter on ex tooth when you have ex jag that makes more damage and will reach him faster?
And dude, be honest… the people you punish with ultra 1 at that range are fucking scrubs, or you were guessing hahaha.
But yeah, I won’t deny the moves are better now, the thing is that those kind of buffs are supposed to make us shut the hell up and be happy when the issues were others in first place.
I will continue to use u1 as a pure punish ultra, or to deter people from using fireballs. It is useless to me outside of that.
As for the jks, well I have sort of stopped using them outside of the odd combo and even then I try and mix it up more (some of my regular opponents telegraph the shit out of me haha).
I was truly hoping the RJ range buff would be what I need and I must reiterate I, as I feel Adon would have benefitted so much from having the ability to land lk.rj from c.mp consistently. It annoys me that it either whiffs or only hits once.
Hahaha most dudes were scrubs but at the same time when I want to punish shit like akumas teleport it sometimes jumps over dudes head, like sigh says you can just punish stupid shit ppl do. Honestly to me jagga tooth and kick are on equal ground they both can put you in a bad stiuation and both are kinda telegraphed when you do it.
Yea it seems as if capcom doesnt really know what to do with adon its like they want him to be usable but not too good which is understandable but you look at chars like guy and cody and you wonder why the fuck was adon left in the dust O_o
yeah I am literally using tooth as much as jks lately and that I use that maybe 3/4 times a match (mostly baiting or ‘reading’ with ex.tooth)
I have started using iajks in place of where I used jk. Anyone else find they sometimes only use hk.jk in matches?
Vs the grapplers, of course. I also use this one against Guy a lot, as it stuffs his running shenanigans. Flowchart Ken rapes it as does Dudley. I haven’t played in 3 weeks and my IAJKs have disappeared…time to get back into shape.
