I just got done playing Accent Core and #Reload.
I liked #Reload better, so let’s have that at EVO.

But seriously, i’m not really sure it matters which game is better, AC will replace slash at some point, the decision is just when to make it official?
The first part of it was to see if the game actually came out on time, i’m assuming that it did since people have it, so thats one down.
I got my copy yesterday, so yeah, it came out on time.
After playing it and practicing, I’d love to see AC at Evo. It’s refreshing and certainly a helluva lot more interesting than Slash was. While Slash was pretty balanced, everyone was kind of dulled down and simplistic versions of their former selves. With Accent Core, everyone is broken (except Anji lolol) and it actually makes the game interesting again.
I’m hoping AC is at Evo this year for sure, but I’ll be going regardless of the decision. Slash or AC, my character still does retarded amounts of damage from random hits. :looney:
99% better than slash for sure.
1% not better because i didn’t automatically know all the new combos (aka #R -> slash)
off topic, but what type of shipping did you choose?
I’ll agree that it makes things interesting again, but AC dulled down and simplified everyone WAY more then Slash did from #R.
Not that I’m overly bothered by it, I’m still enjoying the game.
FedEx overnight shipping. Whenever I order from Play-Asia, I always use FedEx overnight, even if the game is already out. Why? Tracking. 
Dulled down and simplified everyone? Are we playing the same game? >:o Practically everyone has new combos, new moves, FRC points, etc. I don’t see how that would make anyone simplified. Eddie and Slayer come to mind as far as characters that got major overhauls and weren’t simplified in the slightest.
Well I’m not going to argue the point (because I am enjoying the game, so it’d be a moot point) but I think it’s apparent with at least a few characters that went from complex / difficult to play to easy mode.

my vote still stands. AC all the way. AC is hella more fun than slash, by far, so far
I already posted once saying AC, but just to point otu again, if it’s not AC at evo I won’t play it at the official tourney, if it is I will.
AC is a better game, it’s much less boring than slash and at least from my perspective because of the large increase in damage and alot of the tweaks they made to characters and their moves, I feel the game has become more balanced.
For example, Slayer on Zappa with Ghosts, this is a horrible match for slayer it’s soooo hard for him to get in on zappa with ghosts, and once you do it’s relatively simple for the zappa player to push you back out. Slayer’s height just makes ghosts own him. Now with the edition of the Big Bang Upper, with it’s increased speed and the fact that it ducks under the ghosts and leads to big damage, I feel like I have alot more of a fighting chance, iInstead of just having to jump around and block alot of ghosts in an effort to get close.
Or if you don’t want to read AC is the better choice from slash mainly because it is the newest game it is the one the rest of the competitive world (mainly japan) plays so lets sack up and play too!
not to mention the fact that slayer’s big bang upper fb is 11 frame startup, has invincibilitiy starting from the first frame so that it can act as a weak uppercut, leads to a 50% combo, can be used as a anti jump (just use it when u expect people to jump) and is quite safe even if blocked (only if your opponent jumps and fds immediately) if u use it for this matter because its only -22 disadv and your opponent will be using that 22 frames to land, run in, and do an attack.
AC is fun only because its still new and theres room for experimenting and stuff, but later on it will be a race to land 3 hits because those 3 hits will lead to 30-40% combos each (unless you’re zappa), or 2 hits if you’re eddie because you’ll unblockables out of pressure strings (22d, d ed jr), combos (knockdown hs pool), etc.

EVO North is less that 3 weeks away now. Someone should prolly make a decision at this point.
After spending the last few days with the game, I can definitely say this: quals done with Slash shouldn’t count if AC is the game being played at EVO World. The games are way too different for someone’s performance in Slash to determine AC seeding. It’d prolly be best to do away with GG quals all together (still have the tourneys at the smaller EVO, but make it so they don’t count towards EVO World) to make it less gay for people that qualified when Slash was being played, and just do the big tourney from scratch.
To all the people who complain about not having access to AC - It is not that expensive to import / fliptop. It also is more important for the scene as a whole to have AC and not Slash. Evo is a competitive fighting game championship - we’re not about just sitting around on our thumb, we want to play what everyone else is playing. Accent Core is such a vast improvement that its not even funny to think about playing Slash anymore… It’ll just devastate the community to not have AC at this year’s tournament.

I voted AC because it is the game I prefer to play and would much rather enter an AC tournament than a slash one. I will be attending Evo World.
Look at SBO. They had Arcana qualifiers on both Full! and regular, why can’t we have the same thing? If the people already qualified for Slash, and were good enough to win that tournament, they should be able to adapt in the time between now and August. If they can’t, they just weren’t motivated enough, and it’s easy as that.

this isn’t about the players anymore, it’s about EVO deciding. 97% of the people who voted no to AC aren’t even posting, just voting. everyone else is in favor of AC.
