confirmed by Arcade Shock to work in the Drone. It might be similar to the Obsidian one, as iirc it uses a version of a JST connector.
Oh, I canāt believe I didnāt see this. This looks great, and durable to boot. Thank you.

I have a question related to modding the HRAP4 with Brook Universal Fighting Board.
How hard is it to connect the side buttons (LS, RS, home, share) to the new PCB? From what Iāve seen these buttons go through separate āhelperā PCB thatās get connected to the main PCB. These buttons most likely make contact with pcb like in the case of most gamepad pcbs and donāt have their own connectors like Sanwa buttons.
Can I just cut the harness from the cables connecting the āhelperā pcb to the main one and just connect them to Brook or is it going to cause some weird grounding issues or something else? If possible - Iād like not to cut or permanently alter anything in case Iād like to put that PCB back sometime in the future.
Ah, crap, the braided cable doesnt seem to work.
(For reference QANBA BRAIDED USB Cable (Works for all QANBA arcade sticks) ā Arcade Shock)
Windows 10 doesnt seem to recognize the stick anymore and I havent even tried using it on a PS4.
All I get in the driver information is this:
How have you connected it to the PCB? When a USB cable replacement fails itās usually down to an incorrect or bad installation. Post pics if possible.
The USB is connected to the PCB. Itās in there pretty tight, and in the correct orientation ā it only goes in one way anyways. Thank you for the reply.
Have you checked the continuity with a multimeter?
The connection is solid, I can get the device to be recognized as a Qanba Drone on the device manager when in PS3 mode. The problem is that I get code 10, or Windows telling me it canāt find the proper drivers. One time I got inputs to come through but then it dropped. I donāt know what I did then to make it work for those couple of seconds.
In PS3 mode, open device manager and bring up the āgame controllerā box, go to button test screen. When there, hold on to your USB cable at different points and slowly move it around - if the button test screen comes up with an error message then you know you have a bad cable.
In PS3 mode:
Itās possible it may not work with XInput.
Do you have any games to test it with on Steam @chanoc?
It doesnāt work with DInput or XInput at the moment ā it doesnāt even register as a functioning device with Windows.
Oh lord. Iāve been plugging it into a USB 2.0 port. As soon as I plug it into a 3.0 port it works. Hallelujah.
Nice to know it works.
With the closure of Tek innovations. Is there a place where we can get older commercial stick plexis made? VSHG. T5, Namco, Agetech, etc?
Thank you.
I know that Focus Attack has a plexiglass shop that makes stuff to order. If the thread is still active, Iāll tag jman and see if theyāre planning on picking up stuff like that since Artās closed down.
edit: thread doesnāt seem to be active, and Iām not up for necroing an old thread like that just to have @Darksakul and @FreedomGundam bust my balls over it, amongst other OGs. Also not gonna do it because d3v will get angry. I donāt want that.
@jmanDMC - can you possibly answer Bartās question here? Sorry to not tag you in your own store thread, but I didnāt want to risk an infraction being handed out over necroāing the main FA topic.
Hi @mikeohara and @BartStation. Iām still a member of the forum, but when SRK almost ended the forums, I hadnāt thought to return to it. Some good (and bad) memories in the SRK forums over the years. I donāt want to revisit old drama, either.
But to answer your question, I may need to learn a bit more about what was actually done on Artās end for older commercial stick plexis. When it was open I didnāt see the aforementioned models available for sale as services. Did he do those as one-offs? The oldest stick I have services for now is the Pro 2/3/EX. I do have the VSHG, the HRAP T5 (that one seemed almost impossible to offer given its build, seemingly requiring a complete gut of the internals), and Dreamcast. I hadnāt released art and plexi for these yet partly due to lack of time in specāing, and lower demand which goes partly in hand with lack of time. With lower demand, there wasnāt as much motivation to work on them. That said I have them for a reason - to eventually make plexi and artwork services available to them.
Iāll admit without some specs to work from I have to create them myself and so it will take longer to release. But I could see each of these older models releasing as services in 2020.
I donāt know if that helps you guys in the short term, but Iām willing to work with anyone to offer them.
Hey, thanks for posting that. I completely understand that when the forums nearly got pulled down in January, a lot of good people left. I know youāre an extremely busy person with a lot going on; especially this time of year, so that means a lot.
Donāt be a stranger.
Iāll try not to be. However I saw some names of folks that I donāt want to cross paths with again mentioned here, so if they are still inhabiting these forums, Iāll keep my distance, limited to answering when my name is called, like it was in this instance.
Iāll certainly make announcements of new (and old) fightsticks on places like Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
