Absolute Question and Answer Thread v.3 (ASK YOUR QUESTIONS HERE!)

You going have top open the pad and cotton swap from the inside.

Yeah I’ve read that multiple times, Slagcoin says to use “diamond grinding bits” but doing a search for this attachment brings up a bunch of different types.

So that’s why I was asking what attachment people have used with success.

"Twist bit: Twist bits are the most simple and common drill bits. They are pointed metal cylinders with sharp spiral grooves along the cylinder; they are best for cutting thinner holes in non-wood and non-glass materials. Cobalt versions are best for metal. Smaller ones (which are often called micro- and mini-bits) are great for PCB work. "

The issue is that one of the screws got stripped so I’m having trouble opening it up. I read you normally cut a flat head shape with a certain tool but I don’t see how you can do that with precision screws so deep in. Am I SOL?

i found this: http://www.amazon.com/CMT-537-300-31-Forstner-16-Inch-Diameter/dp/B000P4LLFY

this should work as long as i keep the RPMs low right?

try layering a thin rubber band on top of the screwdriver head. it will give you a better grip on the stripped screw and you can take it off that way.

Looking all those custom sticks i noticed almost every stick have recessed buttons. What is the reason of this?
And how deep the recession should be?

Hey guys, I recently bought the TE2 (Xbox One) and it seems that there is some problems with the drivers on PC that won’t register the trigger buttons. Is there any way I can permanently fix this, by either modding it or something else?

I know it is not made to be played on PC, but it was an expensive purchase, and I can’t afford another stick just to play on PC.

Unfortunately, there doesn’t seem to be a driver fix coming anytime soon, so you would need to install a new PCB at this point. You could also swap the quick disconnects around so that your triggers are on the end and just play with a street fighter 6 button layout.

Thank you for the answer. Will installing the Crossbone PS360+ fix this, and essentially fix the trigger problem permenantly, regardless of console (including PC)? I couldn’t seem to find whether PC was supported on their webpage.

Yes, that’s the way to go if you want to keep xbone support. If you aren’t planning on using it with the Xbone, you could make it cheaper and easier on yourself by bypassing the original pcb altogether and installing one with better PC functionality (MC Cthulhu, PS360+, Zero Delay, padhack, etc.).

I got a Chun Li TE to kinda use for a project as I always loved the blue TE. It came not working (which I knew already) but I want to know if it’s a USB cord or a PCB issue. The wires connecting the USB cord look at one point they may have touched, and the GND solder point looks like it’s seen better days. I gotta know if I gotta buy a fightpad or not. I’d probably be sending it to a modder anyway. Unrecognized USB device when plugged into PC, solid green light for a sec then it shuts off on 360. Doesn’t connect either.

Again, thank you so much for your help, I really appreciate it.

Would installing this enable me to play on PC? Is this a PS360+ PCB?

Hey guys, so I have a Qanba Q1 and a PS360+ PCB. Has anyone tried to install the PS360+ in the Q1 and if so, how would you go about it in terms of wiring and installation?

Also, I have a Sanwa JLF joystick and my balltops keep falling off, even though I’m screwing them in from the bottom, is there a step I’m missing? Thanks.

Sounds like a usb issue to me, try soldering a new one on (or have someone else who can solder help you).

The crossbone bridges the te2’s ground connections (more technical than that really), allowing a dual mod where one isn’t normally possible due to the te2’s circuit design. It is not it’s own control board, it will not add support unless you use it in combination with an additional control board. You would have to buy the crossbone in addition to something else common ground (such as the ps360). Are you using, or do you intend on using, the native xbone support?

Read slagcoin.com to understand how to hook it up. As for the ball top, open up the case and stick a flat head screwdriver into the slot on the bottom of the shaft, then twist the ball top clockwise until it’s tight. If it’s still coming loose, I’d guess you’re not using a shaft cover.

What’s a shaft cover? I’m screwing it until it’s tight but then it still comes loose

Shaft cover is a plastic tube that covers the metal shaft, like when you see sticks but it’s black plastic instead of the metal shaft.

I don’t know how to solder yet. It’s something that I might want to learn how to do. Any decent guides?
