So my camera’s out of commission for a while, but I’ll post my results. Long story short - (I think) I fixed it.
I rewired my board, using some spare connectors to lengthen my wires. (… it was a little short.) Some of the ends were frayed and popped out of their tabs, so it could have shorted it. Maybe. Well, that problem hasn’t re-emerged.
Well that’s good to hear! Those frayed wire ends are really annoying, especially when they’re too small to tell if they’ve gotten out of the tab or not…
I’ve got a new question for TT:
The cable from FocusAttack that’s the RJ45 to USB for the PS360+ is too damn long. I have RJ45 jacks and a crimp tool. Can I make a shorter one by just cutting up a USB cable and splicing it to a RJ45 jack?
It looks like the FA cable is just using the R/W/G/B wires from a USB cable, but I don’t know if there’s anything else going on that I’m not aware of.
I was wondering if there was something similar to the FGWidget that reads the status of an xbox 360 controller plugged into it so that you may make your own converter by piggybacking it onto a hacked controller. I want to make a xbox 360 to xbox one convertor but I have not been able to find something similar to the FGWidget that will allow me to do this. Was wondering if anyone has come across something like this?
I have a question about a hypothetical project I have been thinking about.
Using one of Undamned’s USB decoders, could I solder wires from the screw terminals on the Decoder to the solder holes on a Crossbone PCB (attached to a controller PCB, obviously)? I would put all of this in a project box, and then use the USB out from the Xbox One pad to connect to the console. I don’t currently have a case to put an Xbox One Padhack into, and would really rather build something like this since I don’t intend on taking it to tournaments. Is this possible, or is there something that I am overlooking here?
I dont know where to ask this but this is a tech issue.
I got a original PS3 that plays ps2 games. But my ps3 stick wont work on ps2 games. Then I saw this video, does this technique work? I dont have a ps3 controller.
Fit? See the little brass thing in the picture you linked? That’s the adapter and you’ll need that for the battop to fit every Japanese stick except for one variation of the JLW. Also having used battops on numerous different Japanese sticks I don’t recall ever having an issue with the battop and shaft cover interfering with one another.
So I have an optical joystick (Korean; they’re sorta rare/discontinued?). Anywho it recently started being really temperamental and the “UP” will not disengage, regardless of the actuator or any apparent blockage on the infra red sensors. I’ve gently cleaned it off, removed the actuator, tested it with various options but the will only briefly stop and continue it’s nonsense if I so much as touch it. It’s like it switches from off to ALWAYS ON if I so much as tap up. Is this the result of some faulty pcb? It IS dated for July 2012 and iirc these things will go bad regardless of use eventually or is this the result of some other malarkey? This stick case has been through a bit but the actual joystick part hasn’t been in use for an entire year.
Hey guys I purchased a usf4 mcz te 2 stick and have literally owned it for a week. After using it only a few hours I decided I was rash and could use the money on something else. Unfortunately I have not been part of this forum for over 6 months nor posted 50 times. I can’t just say I can be trusted because it’s the Internet but I want to sell it and wanted to ask how? I can show any proof to convince anyone I have the stick and am ready to ship.
The only exception I seen is if would be if you represent a business with a online store outside of the forums. But then the sale isn’t taking place here.
But that is after talking to a mod and getting them to OK on it.
Nope. The rules are firm on this one.
I suggest you try selling else where, Craigslist or eBay.
And the way the rules are you can not even advertise you have a Craigslist or eBay sale before your mandatory 6 months and 50 posts.
