I think so, (it been a while)
but you have to mount the plate sideways only use the center screw hole and only have 2 screws holding the plate in. You also need to rotate the PCB.
Sup folks. I have a question about adding custom art to a Hori Fighting Edge.
I’m looking at this custom plexi cover, but looking at the listing and pictures I’m a little confused as to how you apply it to the stick or what it looks like once installed.

My knowledge on opening up sticks and modifying is them is limited, so maybe this is a dumb question, but I’m mainly just wondering how this thing works. Does it replace the metal finish on the default stick? Does it just go over it? Any kind of information would be great, I’m trying to figure out whether I should order one of these now so it’ll be here on time with the stick.
Thanks in advance.
Anyone have a recommendation for printing custom artwork? I had mine originally print and cut by Art at Tek-Innovations, but he went out of business last year. I don’t want to go to a generic printing shop like say Staples either. It’s a custom cut as the button holes were also cut out by laser so that I could use said artwork in Sanwa push buttons. I’d prefer that because I don’t trust myself with an exacting knife to cut precise circles.
I know of focus attack, but when I was dealing with them originally almost three years ago, it didn’t seem that they had the template panel that I had. It’s why I picked Tek-Innovations instead. I have an OEM Madcatz Type N panel that you can use for the TE2 and TE2+. Because there are many custom panels made that aren’t identical to the Madcatz panel, so it wouldn’t help me to buy the wrong plexi and artwork cut.
It has been three years, but I can’t find anything on FA’s website on mobile. I also asked them on twitter. Unless there are other places to recommend. I still have all the original art files and even the templates that Art Hong provided too.
Pretty much now since Art went outta business, it’s mostly FA that’s taken on customers. Szabo’s also does art as well, and may be able to put that together for you. The website for that is https://www.szabosarcades.com/collections/fight-stick
That guy is offering a template for Jasen’s panel which iirc is not like the actual OEM panel. I’m not asking for a new panel or new plexi even, I just want a convenient place to reprint my artwork with precut holes.
Time to jump in the time machine and see if anyone here still exists from around the MC Cthulhu era.
I found an MCC unopened in a box in my garage, still sealed in the anti-static packaging. I want to make sure the firmware is set to the last known version, but it looks like all of Toodles’ site is unavailable to download anything and any of the tutorials to flash aren’t showing up with my Googling and web.archive-ing.
I do remember purchasing it before Toodles had Dreamcast compatibility with the MCC, and that’s the only thing I want to check for. I’d much rather not buy a new Brook board or similar if I have something perfectly good here.
Anyone have the latest firmware and utility to flash?
EDIT: answered my own question when I did a bit more digging.
Hi guys, since the padhack thread seems dead for years, I want to put my questions here.
I just bought a mortal kombat pdp pad for ps4 and planning to turn it into a hitbox with cherry mx switches, no dual mod intended. So, is there any diode, cathode, inverter thingy needed to get it right? I just need it to be able to play on ps4
Correct. Straightforward soldering job to the contacts.
A multimeter helps with finding all the commons
thanks man. I got the diagram floating on the internet already. Just need to make sure that I dont need extra stuffs to get it right.
thank you too man <3
Any shop out there on the internet make plexiglass tops for the Dreamcast Green Goblin anymore? Tek-Innovations is long gone, but I guess there’s no demand for this stick as time has gone on. The top plate on my Green Goblin has rusted a bit, and I’m afraid if I look at it funny the thing will turn into dust.
I’m trying to leech what I can from web.archive, but it doesn’t look like they got much from Tek-Innovations past the front of the Agetec section.
Greetings,
Can anyone point me towards a video or thread for installing a Brooks UFB and Mc Cthulhu inside of the same case? I bought these for a project years ago that I’m just getting around to. I know Brook’s has a retro board out now that would be simple to drop in but I want to undertake the project now that I have time. I do not have an IMP and don’t know of any place that has them in stock. I found a thread but all of the pictures are dead links now.
My goal is to have both boards powered on at the same time and sharing a common output (RJ45). If anyone is running this set-up and could take a picture of how their wired it or walk me through the process I’d be grateful. I can’t find much on google as since the brook’s retro board is out most results point me to pages about that. I found a thread detailing this on the forums years ago but I can’t seem to find it now. I found a similar thread but as I said most of the images point to dead links so it isn’t very helpful.
Anyone have a good site to buy madcatz TE metal replacement panels? I’m looking to get one with a Korean size joystick hole (35mm).
Focus attack mentioned something to this on their Instagram. Perhaps they are gauging interest, so the best bet is to email them and ask.
I actually emailed them directly after I posted this. They had a canned “if it’s not in our store, we don’t provide it yet.” I just posted on their IG to increase interest. Thanks!
those of you who use El Gato capture systems,
How do you capture systems that have the option for component input?
Hi everyone,
I made a thread about this the other day before seeing this one, so apologies for the repetition, but I was wondering if anyone knows if it’s possible to buy the silver side panels for the Qanba Obsidian anywhere. I bought one recently and it turned up with a small chip to the left (stick side) panel which I’m keen to sort out, because it was originally in mint condition. I know some people remove these panels when they mod theirs, but I haven’t seen any on auction sites, etc.
Thanks!
personally, I’d try firing off a social media message to Qanba about it. Otherwise you’ll probably be looking at scouring eBay for broken Obsidians.
Thanks for your reply! I emailed them through the website but didn’t think to try FB/Twitter, etc. Hopefully I’ll get a message about it soon.
