Question:

Does Metal / Aluminum Balltop Exist? If so, can someone link me to it? I know Lizard lick sells Aluminum Bat Tops but I’m looking for Balltop.

Thanks.

Is JapanVideoGames still a reliable place to online shop? i read some inputs from random people after a google search that at times they do poor packaging.

Also, if anyone has done business with them outside of the states how long did shipping take?

So I’ve got a 360 TE dual modded with an MC Cthulhu.
Works fine on 360, works fine on PS3, but for some reason, when I play PS3 Marvel, Assist 2 only comes out on very rare occasions (yes I changed the controls, no I’m not in blockstun). That would be a PS3 MvC2 problem then?
It’s the wierdest thing, as we’ve had this with multiple PS3s, but when I use someone else’s stick, everything’s all square.

Anybody else even run into something like this?

Does this happen when you are playing other games with your own stick?

In any case if this happens across the board with other games, check the MC Cthulhu/ChImp thread with Toodles and talk to him about it.

Nah, PS3 SF and BB are fine. So that would point to it being the game, but when I put in another stick, everything’s all square.

Doesn’t make a bit of sense.
I mean its not a huge issue as I don’t play a lot of Marvel, but it is pretty strange.

My mom’s wireless card in her laptop went out. Any way to replace it so she doesnt have to use some sort of external solution? Where can i buy internal wireless cards for laptops?

What’s the model?

What brand & model is your mom’s laptop, we can start from there.

hp pavillion dv6000

I recently got an EX2 SE stick and I’m not a huge fan of how the Seimitsu joystick feels. The buttons are fantastic, but the stick feels too loose (i.e. too much throw before activating the switches). I was told Sanwa has even MORE throw than Seimitsu, so if that’s correct, I was wondering if there are any brands of joystick that have less throw/dead zone/feel tighter than my current one that I could put in my SE.

Well I think if you take a sanwa stick and mod it thusly: , that should do the trick.

No, I meant the wireless card. There should be a square section on the bottom of the laptop with a single screw on it that may have stickers on top of it that mention things like mac addresses or whatnot. Under that should be the wireless card. I need the model, because there are at least four different cards that match that model. Some are pci express, and some are mini pci.

Or maybe you could go into the device manager and look under network adapters and then tell me what model that is.

Anyway, once you know what it is, it’s simple and cheap to replace.

Here you go:

Replacing it is very similar to replacing the DIMM memory. Good luck and be careful of static.

Um, I’m a noob (to modding sticks, anyway), and I really could use some help.

Basically, everything on my PS3 Sanwa modified Madcatz SE fightstick works perfectly–except for the Joystick. I can’t get any reading from it at all. I tried opening it and reconnecting the harness, gluing it together, so on. Even tried installing the original Joystick piece and seeing if it would work, and I get nothing, no matter whether I’m trying to play a game or use the PS3’s private menu.

I modded it using Sanwa JLF-TP-8YT-SK joystick and 8 OBSF-30 pushbuttons, and I followed this guy’s tutorial to the letter:
How to mod the MadCatz SE Fightstick Icrontic Gaming

It doesn’t look like any of the cords or circuitry were damaged during the modification. Has anyone here heard of this before? Do you have any idea what the problem could be? I’ve searched the forums and google and looked at other tutorials and I can’t find anything like this.

Put the Switch back to DP?
Instead of leaving it on RS?

I didn’t see that. (I never fucked with those before and so didn’t think it mattered). After putting it on DP (and LS), only down works now. Up, left, diagonals give me nothing. So, what am I doing stupidly this time?
