Phew, that makes things better. Thanks!

Did my first mod all by myself yesterday (hey, let a man feel happy about his achievement), just a spring and balltop swap on my JLF.

Anyway, I was going to do a button swap as well but I was wondering, if I have a pair of solid reds and solid blues for example, could I swap the plungers out for red rims blue plungers/blue rims red plungers, and if so do I run any risk in damaging the switches if I do it?

I’m looking to replace the six screws for the top of my TE-S. Where can I find those?

No risk, just make sure you don’t force anything when modding, and it’ll be okay.

M4 x 12mm screw.
Choose any head style you want.

hey guys, i got my new sanwa parts in today, the stick went in great but the buttons wont pop in :frowning: im popping them in just like your supposed to but they just wont go in all the way, any suggestions?

Shave the nubs.

thx so much

just a quick question bout a TE-S when I try to take off the top panel it doesn’t want to come off. Is it because art sticks out past the panel? I have new buttons and gt-y to put in it. How do I get the panel off without ruining the art?

What do you mean?
The top panel should come right off after you remove the six hex screws holding the top panel in…

Just pull it off.
If the the glue that is holding it down.

That’s what I thought but when I removed the hex screws the panel won’t come off. vv is right I believe it is just the glue from the art that sticks past the panel.

Have you modded a TE-S before and that is what you had to do? What would be a safe way to get it off? The last thing I want to do it screw up the art on it so that is why I would like to be sure.

Oops, I meant to type, “It is the glue that is holding it down.”

So I have an SE with its stock joystick and installed sanwa buttons that I’ve been pounding on for about a year now. I would like to upgrade to a TE now that I’m getting a bit more advanced. Right now I have my eyes on the $100 shipped Round 2 TE, and here are my basic questions:

  1. Is it dumb to drop $100 on a TE when I could upgrade the SE joystick for $30-35?
  2. What is different about the Round 2 compared to the other TEs?
  3. I’d like to customize it with different artwork, and I noticed the Round 2 comes with a red bordering around the art. Is that removable or…?

thanks

  1. Not dumb, its up to you. Although the TE sticks are a little easier to customize with artwork with its removable top panel than the SE.
  2. Aesthetics.
  3. Red bezel is removable.

If you remove the red bezel does it leave an unnatural look to where it should of been, or does it look clean?

And thanks for the quick response. I might bite on one later this week.

Leaves groove where Bezel once was.
I cannot show you picture because the person removed image.

That is why exist Extended Art and Extended Acrylic Panel.

The metal panel doesn’t fill the gap where the bezel fills the top of the base. If you plan on removing the bezel, then you might want to check out arthong’s extended or full panel TE plexi covers.

I’ve modded a TE-S before. It is, indeed, a little glue that’s holding it down. There is a sheet of metal that the artwork is currently attached to. What I ended up doing is using a mix of pulling the joystick to pull off the metal / artwork and sliding my fingers underneath the metal sheet.

Did I make any sense here?

Hi there. I’m new to all the fightstick business as the only one I’ve owned so far is the Intec Combat stick (PS3). I’m considering on buying the Mayflash universal fightstick as it seems to be pretty versatile and the size is better than my actual one.

I’d like to know if anybody’s already modded it and if it was easy to do or not. I’ve never modded a stick so far (I know, there are threads that can help me out on that.) And I don’t want to spend up to say… $100 for a stick just yet.

Is it worth modding it? I’d like to have an american/korean joystick an sanwa buttons (if that’s possible.) Up to how much could that get up to? And would be it worth all the trouble?
