A ChImp for the PlayStation 3 side.
Then a Mad Catz FightPad for the Xbox 360 side.

None of that is fast and easy.

I guess you can get the TEasy and Xbox 360 PCB and Dual Strike if you want fast and easy.
The TEasy makes for Dual Mod with TE PCB be solderless.
Expensive because you have to buy three PCB.

You can’t use the PCB already in your EX2.
Cannot because it is not Common Ground.

Is it possible to mod my stick so it only works for the PS3? The PCB in the EX2 isn’t common ground so it doesn’t work, but I don’t wanna spend too much when I don’t forsee myself using it for the ps3 anytime soon. Would I only need a ChImp then?

Or would it be cheaper/easier to just get an SE for PS3

Does Seimitsu make square buttons?

Is there a good Canadian distributor for Sanwa or Seimitsu square buttons? Who could I call to get my hands on them? Any sellers that could ship to Canada in the Northern parts of the US at least?

Blarble. Thanks.

So I’ve managed to strip the head of one of my screws on my TE-S stick to the point that I can no longer use my alan wrench to get it unscrewed. Any ideas on what else I can do to get this screw out?

Once I can get it off of there, I’m going to replace all of the screws with new ones. Also, if there is a method that I can get this screw off, but it will damage the stock art in the process; I’m cool with that, as I will eventually be replacing the art work anyway.

Right way to do it: http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_00952166000P?prdNo=1&blockNo=1&blockType= or some variation of these. I think there was a infomercial version of these at some point that was just a drill head. (looks like this - http://www.asseenontvguys.com/productimages/grabit_demo.gif)

The other way to do it would be to use pliers to try to twist the top or just drill out the screw (I don’t recommend this one).

Also, you might try a size bigger in allen wrench first. 3.5 mm or 1/8" to see if either give you some bite.

Paewang Revolution user here. Modding my first fightstick…

So far so good and I even used the exact same buttons and joystick Laugh used in the his tutorial. The problem is the wire harnesses. Laugh used a custom made one and stated any wire could be use. I apparently bought a harness that could hold up to 28 buttons from lizardlick. It looks a little big to fit in the fightstick. I’m just not that level in modding yet. So if any one can find a harness that has less wires please help me.

Also, I could not find an H5P harness for the joystick. I’ve googled and only found forum search results with no direct links to store sites. If anyone can help me, please feel free. I’m so close to finish :wasted:

Hmm searched the thread and was wondering if anyone has gotten SE artwork done from mamemarquee?

If someone has, does it hold up well against sweaty palms? I tried lamilabel once and sadly sweaty palms did it in, so I’m trying to make sure I don’t make that mistake again.

Thanks!

are there still no converters that work flawlessly between 360 and ps3?

lizard lick sells those solderless quick connects at 3 sizes, .110, .187, and .250, which is best for the 22awg stranded wire they sell?

Those sizes do no depend on the Wire Gauge.
Those sizes are for the Terminals they will go onto.

.110" is for Japanese Buttons of Sanwa and Seimitsu.
.187" is for Japanese and American Joysticks, or Japanese and American Buttons using Snap-action Microswitch.

So, what do you think is best?
All of them can take from 18 AWG to 22 AWG size.
But I cannot tell you which to use, because I don’t know your application.

Sorry, I don’t know how many times this question may have been asked but I don’t think it will take much effort to answer either, my question is what’s the difference between square, octagonal and round restrictor plates? I hear a lot of people who play street fighter use the octagonal restrictor plate should I replace my JLF square restrictor plate with a octagonal restrictor plate? will I notice any difference? Thanks

You will notice, yes.

Thanks for the link, really helpful bookmarked

Arcadeshop - Arcade spare parts for amusement and vending machines

I think these guys ship worldwide.

If you end up looking elsewhere, you’re looking for Seimitsu JB-20

Those are Buttons for Mahjong.
Don’t know how will use those in Arcade Stick.

Got a point there. My bad. Was trying to make heads or tails of how you’d install them.

don’t particulary look deep enough for the snaps to fit a stick.

Well I know how they are mounted in an Arcade Cabinet for Mahjong.
It is different from how we install Buttons for our Arcade Sticks.

First, the square cutout will be big enough for the whole Plunger to go through.
The Microswitch will snap into a metal panel that is below the Control Panel.
