It is.
I feel like my joystick is getting worn out., Should I just change the pcb switch or just change the whole thing?
What kind of buttons/joystick are/is in the TvC stick? Been thinking about picking one up, but wondering if I’m going to have to mod it.
Mad Catz.
oh.
I see.
They better quality than the Street Fighter IV one though.
I tried googling, but results were inconclusive. Is there a Wii-to-PS3 stick converter? I want to buy a standard TvC stick, but then it would be really cool if I could use the same stick for BlazBlue and SSF4 on my friends’ PS3 as well.
Since I might get a PS3 as well, is there a PS3 to Wii converter? I’m only looking to buy one stick.
I just started soldering for my first time and my first four joints went pretty good and they are very very strong (strong enough to endure some tugging) and they’re quite clean but…
I’m pretty sure I oxidized my brand new iron. There is a black side on it, it wont heat things up very well and there is a black spot on it. Obviously I googled all of this and ran into a myriad great tutorials but, if someone could reiterate the process for me or link me to a more comprehensive tutorial instead of bucket of incomplete ones I keep finding that would be awesome.
I tried adding solder to my iron to keep it tinned but so much would stick to it right away that it would bead all over it and leak onto whatever I was trying to heat up, any tips?
Or at the very least how do I dexoxidize the tip(clean the black stuff off)? Do I buy a tub of that cleaner stuff? Can it be simply scraped off?
I think the reason it happened is because I dont know when you’re suppsoe to wipe it off and I was wiping it on a wet paper towel.
I rub the tip of my iron with steel wool periodicaly while I am soldering, as well as cleaning it with a damp sponge.
I’m planning on getting artwork+panel from Art, but I’m wondering, what kind of resolution are we looking at for a full panel template? I need to find a picture first, then I’m going to look for help getting the button template put on, but I’m wondering where I should start and how big the picture sould be originally.
Thanks~
How often is periodicaly? Do you clean with the sponge right after the steel wool? only when you’re done? every few joints? I really have no idea how often or when i’m suppose to be doing these things.
also how do I clean the black oxidation off my iron?
is there any major differences between the vanilla madcatz fightpad and the SSF4 madcatz fightpad
(xbox 360 versions)
I usually wipe it on the sponge and rub it on the steel wool everytime I put the iron down, so that when I pick it up in a few minutes it is ready to go. Sometimes I will dip the tip in solder flux before I do that.
If your iron is really dirty hit it up with some steel wool while it is cool, you can scrub it really hard. If I scrub it really hard when it is hot sometimes I bend the tip.
Also buy some replacement tips for your iron and replace them every once in a while. They are pretty inexpensive.
I literally have only used this thing for 4 wires, it’s brand new. I just blacked the tip and didn’t know how to fix it and make sure I don’t do it again.
Is it possible to mount a LS-32 using a flat mounting in a HRAP3 (or any HRAP without the universal bracket) with the shaft extender? Or does the shaft extender make the stick a little taller than what it should normally be?
I was wondering what all I need to be able to use an LS-40-01 in a TE.
Like he said, scrub it with some steel wool when it’s cool to get rid of the oxidation. When you heat it back up, tin the tip and when it’s got a blob of solder on it wipe it off on a damp sponge. It should be pretty shiny after that.
After that process, keep an eye on your tip while you work on things, when it starts to dull in color just tin it again and then wipe it off on the sponge.
Don’t worry, I think everyone ruins their first tip, it just comes with the territory. I ruined the hell out of my old piece of crap iron’s tip, the one I’ve got now I’ve had for over a year and it’s still shiny as hell .
Hmm, maybe I’ll put together a quick tutorial on iron upkeep, I’ll do it when I make new install vids for my board, that way I can knock out multiple projects at once
I’m starting to get the hang of it, I finished all my soldering and the hardest part was keeping my tip in good condition. The actual soldering was quite simple and easy to figure out.
The hardest part is keeping the tip tinned. Everytime I try rather than spreading out on the tip it globs up in different spots.
Hello, everyone. I have question.
If i buy Saulabi Wooden Korean stick PS3 and Joytron Xconverter 360 Plus, will stick work on my xbox360? Thx for replay.
