So I’m trying to find out where to purchase a PCB for my 360 TE edition stick, does anyone know where I can buy any? Checked Lizardlick, Ebay, and Google but didn’t have any success. Also, I’m in the process of triple modding my stick to work on PS2 & I need assistance on what type of PCB to buy for that mod also.
You need what PCB to do what to your Xbox 360 TE?
You want PlayStation 3 PCB to Dual Mod your Xbox 360 TE?
Then the answer for you is: Cthulhu with Imp or DPDT Switch, or ChImp.
You also want PlayStation 2 on same PCB as PlayStation 3?
Then the answer for you is: Multi-Console Cthulhu with Imp or DPDT Switch.
I need another 360 PCB TE because the guide button on my current one was burnt out due to the person who was doing the modifications not being a complete pro at it. I already have it dual modded to work on PS3, I just need one for PS2.
Hay guys I have 2 qustions.

I still need help with GIMP (see my post on page 47)

My Mad Catz SE fightstck( has not been moded mind you) for some odd reason just stop working after I tryed to use it on geometry was 2. I just would only go down-back for some reason, and it stayed on after I shut down the 360. Once I unpluged it and restarted the game I seem to work on all my fighting games. Ok now to the qustion. Should I change the sticks and buttons now, or should I just what till it goes to compleat trash.
Quite curious now as I’ve seen this done in so many ways.
Say I have a Toodles Cthulhu and a Madcatz 360 pad. Would I need to use an Imp switch between them to make the 360 side work or does it work anyway after all the wires are properly soldered directly between the Cthulhu and 360 pad?
The cord is starting to rip on my SE, is there anything I can do about this? It’s near where the cord exits the stick.
@Francys Pai:
only ChImp can do that… it has Imp already built into it… MC Cthulhu and PS3/PC Cthulhu will still need either a DPDT switch or an Imp to switch btwn. data lines for the different consoles
@ChuckBartowski:
If its only the outer shielding thats been affected u could always just tape it nicely with some electrical tape and just hide that portion of the cable within ur stick or if u can solder u can always replace the usb cable itself for a new one… many ways to go about it… just depends on what exactly is the problem (function vs aesthetics, or both maybe lol), what u want to do with it and if ur able to do it…
~hopefully that helps u both… enjoy
So would I be able to get away with:
Cthulhu, then this wired up to it, then a madcatz 360 board wired to that.
I’m getting a little confused.
EDIT: Though, reading this: http://www.marcuspost.com/downloads/cthulhuwelcome.doc
It’s just confusing me further because it’s saying I would be able to dual mod it through the top small terminals.
Yes, you wire the Cthulhu & 360 board to the Imp… the Imp controls which board to switch to depending on what console u want to play on… Here, u can follow rtdzign’s “how to” thread: http://www.shoryuken.com/showthread.php?p=8371462#post8371462 follow steps 1 -3
Depends on what you buy… there are assembled ChImps already with screw terminals to make things easy… the ones with no screw terminals are the kits which are sold cheaper because they need to be soldered/assembled together with no screw terminals and such (to keep costs down)…
hopefully that cleared it up a bit for ya
Ah much better actually, I couldn’t find a tutorial for it. Thank yooou <3
I can’t seem to find any info regarding the correct mounting depth of the Seimitsu LS-32 S-plate, so that that the top of the plate sits flush with the surface it’s mounted to. Can anybody please spread some light on this?
Cheers.
i found out the local store I go to has QDs and wires… though they don’t have 22 gauge for either one, I have found that they have an abundant supply of 20 gauge QDs and wire. I looked at the 20 AWG they have, and it’s a bunch of copper wires wrapped around one coating of rubber, Stranded wire I’m guessing… I can use this for the next stick I’m going to build, right?
Is it just a USB cable I need? Because it now doesn’t work,I need to either replace the stick or the cord.
@ChuckBartowski:
If the stick doesn’t respond now b’cuz of the damaged usb cord u can:
A) Fix the cord by re-splicing the cables
or
B) Just replace the whole usb cable (prolly easiest outta the 2… even tho both options are relatively easy in my opinon lol)
-for this, all u would need is a USB cable (like the ones used for printers and such)… just chop off the other end (i believe thats the “B” end) and then solder the smaller cables to the appropriate areas… 5v= red, D- = white, D+ = green, GND = thin black, SGND = thick black
Is there anyone who lives in the bay area(san francisco or near it) that can do stick art?
Don’t get a new stick!
For option B here, you’ll need to open up your stick and desolder the old USB cable, then solder a new one on. Like toshinu described, get a normal USB cable, chop off the B end (basically the end that doesn’t look like a normal USB connector), then strip the small wires and solder them on.
If you don’t think you have the technical skills/have never soldered before, make sure you practice before you try!
Hey guys, I just bought a new TE Stick. Something strange I noticed in training doing back half circles with the input on is that sometimes instead of doing:
:hcb:
it’ll do this:
:r::df::d::db::r:
or this:
:hcb::r:
So with Akuma for example, if the 2nd or 3rd one happens he’ll do a SRK instead of a fireball.
I don’t think it’s my technique, but I’m pretty new to SF and I’ve only had the stick for a couple days so I could just be letting go too hard or something when I finish off the HCB.
Could this be a problem with my stick or is this some kind of known problem with people new to using a fightstick?
Is dual modding a TVC Wii stick possible using a Madcatz fightpad? Any information regarding dual modding a tvc stick and padhacking a madcatz fightpad would be great! Searches found nothing! Thanks.
Just a question for the people who have VSHG.
Is the PCB common ground? or would I need the cthulhu/ChImp + madcatz 360?
for dual mod purposes as I forgot to add this.
