You solder Wiper to the 3K_Invert and 4K_Invert.
That is all.
Joystick replacement
What’s up guys… i have a question… how often do joysticks need to be replaced? I own two Madcatz TE fightsticks, one that gets regular use and the other that’s almost brand new. i noticed when comparing the two, the one that gets regular use isn’t as fluid and smooth as the brand new one. i also noticed that when i move the stick, it doesn’t move back to neutral as fast, almost feeling a lil stuck. The stick still works fine but how do i get the stick to flow like the new one?
Thanks in advance
Put in a new Spring?
I don´t tink so,:shake: the spring dont make too much diference, maybe something wrong with the pivot or the microswitchs have less tension then the new one, if you want you can make the spring mod too, but isn´t too much noticiable, the JLF had to be leveraged microswitchs like semitsu had, that cause a lot of presion:cool:
Since we’re on the subject, what’s the best place to get replacement springs for the default stick in the TE’s? Working on a mod for someone and they wanna know if I can replace the springs for them.
Sorry to interfere with a question out of the blue, but ive searched and just couldnt find any answers. I’ve spent a few days reading about modding and everything since im new to this and getting a SE fightstick and so i have the following question:
You can put the cover art below the seimitsu buttons, the sanwa ones dont have this option but is it possible to just stick the cover art on the surface of the sanwa button or would you advise against doing that, and if so could you explain?
Thanks in advance.
AkihabaraShop.jp and Lizard Lick and Gamingnow.net all have the replacement Springs for JLF.
Lizard Lick has them for $0.95 each.
And Chad does refund you for shipping costs.
I paid less than a dollar for four Microswitches and JLF-CD.
You can also ask him to ship differently if you want save money.
Gamingnow.net has for $1.15 each.
Shipping is like $8.
@onimoschta:
well… if ur desperate enuff to put art on ur Sanwa buttons u technically could put art on them… but its not something advisable to do cuz it wud have to be some sorta sticker… and for why thats not a good idea is because it’ll either mess with the feel of ur buttons or it’ll eventually wear out, peel off, or any other number of reasons that won’t let it stay on there after repeated use… but then again its ur stick, so whatever floats ur boat i guess =/ … anywayz if u want the art inserts get the Seimitsu buttons… Seimitsu buttons are top quality and pretty to look at when u get the clear ones for art and LED mods… and since ur getting an SE u might as well shuck out that extra cash to upgrade to 'em… but ya just my opinion… enjoy
thanks toshinu for your advice. I Think im going to buy 6 of each, sanwa and seimitsu. its just a add of 12 bucks and maybe it will help me find out which i will like more.
Hey guys,
I heard that when wiring the triggers from an Xbox 360 PCB, you need to connect the signal to a switch that’s normally closed. Does that sound about right? If so, would the microswitch on Seimitsu or Sanwa buttons work? If not, where do I get the right kind of microswitches?
I know that’s a lot of little questions in one post, sorry about that lol. But I’d appreciate any answers!
i literally spent the whole day looking at the forums to get any info on how to mod my Arcade-in-a-Box PS3 only arcade stick to be playable on an xbox360 and i really deeply apologize for posting this if it is unnecessary.
Can anyone please help me on how to mod my ps3 only arcade stick to work on xbox360?
I’ve been looking on the forums to mod the SE stick artwork, is there a place to get a protective sheet when replacing the stock art? and where can I buy it.
Thanks.
I think there are threads somewhere around here that could help you with that, but if you’re not looking to do it yourself, you could buy the mod from Gummowed I believe. He should have a thread called “Gummowed modding services” or something like that.
I hear that it’s possible to replace the spring with a generic one bought from a hardware store. Is that correct? If so, which size do I need?
Yes, that is true.

Which then had this Thread exist.

Ok, so even though I sound like a complete noob, which I am when it comes to arcade sticks…
I want to not only make the switch from fightpad to arcade stick, but I want to get into the whole modding of the arcade sticks thing. Where do I start?
Awesome, thank you. Will be hitting up home depot after work today for sure
Thinking of replacing my SE stock stick, so if I get the JLF-TP-8YT stick will I need to get the JLF-H pin cable too?
no you use the existing harness.
Thanks.
