There is no Guide on how to use the TE Turbo LED to be PS3 Player Indicator.
We just know how to do it.

Here is one way, someone with eight wires.

Lol, customers : D

If I need to cut the traces for the ‘home’ button to work, do I also need to cut the traces for the LEDs anywhere?

Ah, well hopefully someone will know. I’d rather not spend anymore money on this stick if possible.

I’m not sure you can mold an internal thread.* You’re better off machining the parts for small quantities, but one-off machine parts are rather expensive too (probably on the order of hundreds of dollars). For the nuts you could try browsing around mcmaster.com. I don’t know what the thread on buttons are, but McMaster does have large nuts–metric too–though I’m only seeing them in steel for large diameters.

*I suppose you could do like a sand mold, but that requires machining the part in the first place, which sort of defeats the point. Plus the tolerances may or may not be good enough.

Anything?

Hey guys could someone point me in the direction of a how to for wooden boxes, I’ve been making boxes for about a year and a half, just kinda figuring out things on my own for my self and friends. I’d like to see how other people have overcome some of the obstacles of box making.

I have had my madcatz TE for quite some time. Maybe two or three years. When I first got it the stick was so tight like it was some what of a pain to use. Now I went of to school and left my stick with my cousins. The stick has become “loose” like it almost has like no resistance or something or at least a lot less than it did. I kind of like it I just wish it had a bit more resistance how can this be adjusted.

Surprised no one answered you Dios.

It’s the VH236H. See this thread for a bigger list of tested monitors with <1 frame of lag.

You can buy a spring that will fit in joystick. They have some at Focusattack.com.

is this like a straight replacement I can just swap them out. I have my card ready to do it. I am thankful this is just $1 fix

This is a video showing a Link install but will show the steps for disassembling to get to the spring. Start around the 0:55 second mark.

Some people swap, and others combine the springs to make it stiffer.

Easy, find someone who can do it for you for a fee. Check the sticky called “Need a modder in your area ?”

Last question for now I guess. Do you guys see any disadvantage with the 6-button layout vs the 8 I am planning on taking off the last two buttons on my TE. For one thing I strongly believe against pressing them. I feel like if you are using a arcade stick why are you still using shortcut buttons like the pad. However I will be sad if some fighting game is out and I can’t press all the buttons. Ideas. Also when I say remove. I am only going to disconnect the buttons and place the wiring in the case. Not actually rip it out like I have seen some people do. I will also still have the 8 button layout on my plexi but it will be covered up my art so people wont even be able to see it.

Personally I keep the 8 buttons because I also play Arcade buttons using my stick. It also comes in handy when game menus require you to use those buttons. If you press them on accident a lot (which I don’t think most people do) then I would suggest taking them out.

Then again if you ever get LEDs 6 lights cost less than 8

You know that menu thing is kind of funny I did not consider it… there is a glitch in a “game” that allowed you to play with downloadable costumes I may miss them. I don’t worry about pressing them. I never thought about that.

i want to try and make a ‘project’ arcade stick out of leftover parts using a rubbermaid container, what tool can i use to cut holes in the plastic lid? a drill and circle saw bit seems like overkill…

hmm $8 shipping and handling to buy a $1 spring.

You should be able to use an exacto blade or box cutter to cut the holes, if not, overkill it

The first box I made was out of an old camera carrying case. I didn’t know hole saws existed so I used some weird cutting bit and hacked the holes out.
