Cthulhu does not Turbo.

Cthulhu and ChimpSMD do not have turbo. TE Kitty (and VLX Kitty) both have turbo support.

Ninja’s errywhere.

Thanks again to both of you.

All I need anyways is the start, select and home buttons.

I’ll be back later with more questions I’m sure.

All right, guys. I’m trying to run both my computer and my Xbox through the same monitor. I want to use DVI for both and be able to switch between the two with ease. The problem is that my monitor only has one DVI port and no HDMI. I also have speakers that I run my computer through that I also want to run the Xbox sound through. What’s the best way to do that?

This is the monitor: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004KM4AQY/ref=ox_sc_act_title_5?ie=UTF8&m=AAZRLVTNON75Z

What is the most effective solution? Something that won’t be too hard on my wallet, if possible.

Hello Tech Talk. Im a Tech dummy so I thought id ask around here.

Does anyone know exactly what monitor is the “Evo” standard? The model of Asus I see people bringing to tournaments and such? Id like to own a lagless portable monitor :).

Check out Deal Extreme’s converter section, They have crazy stuff for managing your DVI cables and such for cheap. You’ll just have to accept that you’re ordering things from China so its going to take a minimum of three weeks and you’re getting electronics so they can get tied up in customs for some time. I have this one:

Someone in the comments says you can use DVI to HDMI converters with it, but that doesn’t solve your sound problem.

For some reason I thought about the Agetec Green Goblin stick, I actually liked that stick because of the spacing of the buttons and stick and the fact that its only a 6 button stick. I don’t have any experience drilling holes into plastic when I started thinking of solutions that don’t require creating any more new buttons.

I was thinking about using the built-in yellow Start button provided in the Agetec as an auxiliary button. So lets say we’re using Toodle’s PS3 Cthulhu board, and we want to have start, select, and home usable on the stick.

I was thinking you could wire it up so that:
Pressing 1P + Start = PS3 Start
Pressing 2P + Start = PS3 Select
Pressing 3P + Start = PS3 Home

Just asking if something like this has been done before and if it would interfere with gameplay at all wiring something like this up. Seems as if you could do this with just plain wiring without using a project board or something.

Hello, I recently dropped my arcade stick after being lamed out in a rank match of ssf4ae; I noticed the down direction doesn’t work properly anymore. Down back through down foward would work when they felt like it. Can you explain what I need to fix/replace?

If you must know the match up, it was Dee jay (myself) vs rose.

No, you cannot do with just simple wiring.
Does not work like that.

When using button hole plugs, what should I do with the wires that connected to the buttons I took out? Just bundle them up nicely inside?

Yep, make sure all metal parts are insulated though.

Or remove the wires completely if you’ll never be needing them

How would I insulate them?

Put a sleeve around the quick disconnect: http://etokki.com/.110-Quick-Disconnect-Sleeve

You can also wrap a piece of electrical tape around the individual quick disconnects.

Another question

Is there anyway I could make my Hori EX2 work on PS3? I don’t necessarily need to dual mod it, could I switch some PCBs around? If so, how difficult would it be and are there guides to help with it?

Here’s a rubbish question:

What size quick disconnects to IP buttons and joysticks take?

I’m guessing 4.7mm or 4.8mm (0.187) though some confirmation would be excellent.

.110 but you can use .187 if you cant find any smaller

Hang on… there’s a huge size difference between .110 and .187

I’d have thought that IL products used microswitches that same size as those found in a JLW or LS-32, so .187

I have not got my hands on IL parts before so I apologise for my confusion. If you had a pic or something to help explain it to my eyes I’d find it easier to understand.

ack youre right. I didnt notice IL. for IL .187 is correct. I’m thinking 30mm jap style buttons which take either or…

Fantastic. I now know what to order.

Was just slightly worried as I could not find any clear pics of the microswitches.

Well, changed the ball top to a bat top, but decided to hold off on the button plugs. They looked really cheap and the paint job was poor. Also it was a much duller shade of white than the bat top and buttons. Maybe I can find some higher quality ones.
